  We booked a car for a few days right before New Years Eve and when we got there they said they overbooked and they didnt have any cars. Of course I was extremely upset since I just landed with my family and had no car to get around. After a little while an employee Anacel Hidalgo was nice enough to upgrade and actually go out and wash a car so they could rent it to us. The drop off was extremely easy also so they made a mistake and overbooked but she was very kind to fix the mistake and help us out.

  This is the first negative experience I've had with any Enterprise location. I made a reservation 2 months I'm advance, completed the automated check-in 24hours before arrival but when I ubered over from the airport on time on Dec 28th they were completely out of cars! There was a staff member waiting outside in the empty lot with a clipboard taking down names and phone numbers to add people to a waitlist. My name was added behind 5 people already on there and was told once they went down the list they would call me but had no estimate when or if it would happen. Great way to start a 6 day trip in Maui! I stepped inside the office and saw more then a dozen people sitting around in the same situation. Fast forward 2 days later they called me but at that point I made other arrangements. Horrible experience. If they know there is a car shortage why do they overbook? Also, what is the point of early checkin? I spent $45 round trip from the airport to this enterprise location. Why didn't the staff call or email people with reservations before their pickup time to let them know there were no cars and names could be added to list remotely? I got no refund for my wasted rides and lost hours trying to get a replacement rental outside this location. Dont trust this location!

  My advice? DO NOT rent a car from them. Specifically this location here in Maui. Staff were unfriendly and uncooperative. Despite having a reservation, lines were long and we got a much smaller car than the one we had rented. When we went to pick up the car, we had to wait over 30 minutes just to be told they didn’t have the full size car we wanted. Then, when we were given our Mitsubishi Mirage, we took a video of the outside of the car to avoid being blamed for any damage we didn’t cause. The woman renting is the car did the same and don’t note anything nor take any pictures. Upon dropping the car off, the same woman did an inspection of the car and pointed out a small dent on the bottom of a door that could only be seen when level with the dent (about 8” off the ground) meaning we didn’t capture it in our before video. We did not hit, scrap, or bump ANYTHING while we had the car for approximately 36 hours. She claimed that since she had not seen it prior, it must’ve occurred while we had the car. Our video unfortunately didn’t get a great angle of the dent, so she said we needed to fill a change of condition form that would later go to our insurance. Not only did we not do the damage to the car, but the damage was so minimal that it would be easily missed when looking at the car when standing up. This isn’t something they would likely even get fixed before another person rents the car, suggesting that they could easily pin this on someone else as well and make double the profit. If you must rent from them, I suggest taking pictures of the entire car, from every angle, and in every lighting because they do not keep any before and after pictures of the cars. Another small note, I was unable to get ahold of them via phone the morning of the rental despite being on hold forever. And they don’t offer any shuttles to and from the location making it difficult/expensive to travel to and from the rental location.

  I had a great experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The staff was friendly, professional, and very efficient from start to finish. The pickup process was quick and smooth, and the vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and exactly what I reserved. What really stood out was the customer service—everyone was helpful, answered my questions clearly, and made sure I was comfortable before driving off. The return process was just as easy and hassle-free. Overall, Enterprise made renting a car simple and stress-free. I would definitely recommend them and will be using their service again in the future.
