  I have rented through Alamo several times including this location twice in the last year. They are always competitive on price and easy to deal with. Hence they have a high review rating. I recently rented through THRIFTY on Kauaui and they wanted to charge an extra 50$ because there was some sand on floor. Would take nothing extra to vacuum any how and they didn’t have floor mats. Seems scamy. I see why they only have a 2.6 review instead of Alamo’s 4.4-4.8 at their locations. Alamo i have not encountered this. Good jobs and keep the customers happy.

  Possibly one of the best car rental experiences I have had. We used the "skip the counter" option and were able to head straight to the garage (after we road the tram from the airport) where we were greeted by an attendant that showed us to a row of cars we were allowed to choose from. Hoped in our car, drove to the exit booth where they finalized our paperwork and we were on our way in just a few minutes. One important thing to note is that when you return the car they check you out at your car and then they will park it so make sure you have everything fully packed up before you arrive.

  At first, I was very dissatisfied with Alamo Maui. I had booked a Jeep Wrangler, and none were available at my arrival. In fact, there was an extended wait list for other customers that had also rented jeeps as all of us that been overbooked. What would have been proper would be to notify the customers that the jeep they reserved wouldn't be available and offer a new booking or cash back. Instead, they were knowingly overbooked and gave each customer an "oops" at the counter. I was very dissatisfied and was thinking about giving a 1 star. However, I called the reservation the next day and told them of my mistake and the need to switch to a jeep when available. I got a text the next morning that the jeep was holding for me for my convenience. When I showed up, the staff was aware and knew that the vehicle was sitting in reserve for me. The gate agent didn't need to see any additional paperwork and understood that it was a car swap. The fact that Alamo made right by their mistake goes a long way in my book. No one's perfect but having the customer awareness to fix a problem is what most customers are looking for in a company they do business with. 5 stars.

  Slow and inoperative CUSTOMER CARE The customer Service is very poor for this location. I reported lost and found item that should have easily retrieved with little human efforts. But they dis not respond in time even we were there to collect the item. I dont think I will travel again to Hawaii to pick my $80 item. To ALAMO Reply team: Please do not reply with the same repetitive copied reply that you send to others. Its not required as you are not concerned.
