Henry went above and beyond to accommodate our rental when recalls affected the exact vehicle we had reserved. His dedication to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction was evident in every step. Henry’s professionalism, kindness, and genuine care turned what could have been a stressful situation into a truly positive experience. 🌺

  The location and shuttle service is very good. The staff is also very good and polite. But, the car which I received was not in good shape. The communication was also a problem for me this time. I had reserved Jeep Wrangler but was notified at the desk that all of their inventory have hybrid ones and they were recalled. They gave me a luxury sedan i.e Audi A4. So, that was nice of the staff to do that. But 2 days later I got low tire pressure monitoring light. I refilled the air 2 times and reset the alarm. I also called their emergency roadside assistance which I had purchased with them. They said the emergency will arrive in 15 mins but I waited for an hour at my safe location and no one came. The only option they gave me was to go back to HNL and replace the car which was quite inconvenient. In addition to that, I got an email stating that the car was not assigned to my reservation and hence I did not receive rental agreement. So, I had to first get that sorted out before I got to even talk to the emergency roadside assistance. So, I am giving 3 stars for the polite staff and courteous people at the airport. But, w.r.t the car inventory and their roadside service unfortunately my experience was bad.

  Got a really good rate on Expedia (less than $475 for TWO weeks! Did the pre-check in & credit card & walked right to the area to pick up cars to choose from. Showed my credit card & drivers license when leaving the lot, easy-peasy. Returning the car was just as easy. Dropped off the car, lady walked around to check for damage & then emailed me the re riot. Would absolutely rent from them again!

  Remember the Alamo! Rental car service that is. Love it when they allow you to pick your own car from the area specified. Whether a compact hatchback, a vehicle with a trunk, you decide. In fact, when we were there at the Honolulu location at the airport, there were two Mazda Miata coupes in the same area. AMAZING! Unfortunately, none of our luggage would fit into the minuscule trunk. Anyway, Alamo is the best and you can forget the rest!

  The folks at the HNL airport are very friendly and effecient. They didn't orginally have the mid size SUV for us as we had booked, but they made sure to make it happen, we just had to wait a bit. We didn't drive the car much - but one night while getting into it we noticed bugs (If you are familiar with Hawaii you know what bugs I'm talking about). They could have been when we rented the car, or who knows they could have gotten in while we parked in a waikiki parking garage or by the beach. I told Alamo agent when we turned the car in - he was really nice (and grossed out about it). He promised the car would be fumigated which was a relief that they took the issue seriously. And Alamo is WAY better then Hertz!!! Thanks to Costco and Alamo for a great deal!
