  Easy experience renting from Sixt Gatwick. Not a 24 hour manned desk but for my collection and also drop off an employee was present, both of which handled the collection and return very quickly. I was offered a paid upgrade but declined as none of the options were interesting for me. Car was fine, it wasn’t particular clean when I collected it but the condition was acceptable. Sixt certainly not the cheapest to rent from but I’ll continue to use them if their convenience and level of service continues to be good.

  It was a good experience with sixt after two weeks travelling around the UK the car stood firm and met all our expectations. Thanks a lot until next time!

  Sixt website is good and staff seem pretty good about options when you collect. Overall price seems to creep up. We hired a Volvo XC60 from 9 to 16 July 2026 inclusive and the total hire price was £1793: £224 per day which seems quite expensive.

  Do not hire from Sixt!!! All was fine and couldn’t fault pick up but after we returned the car that’s where the problems started… Charged for late return (time stamp says next day) we were back home. Charged for going over mileage (we did not and the proof they provided is two different car number plates but unwilling to acknowledge this?) Then charged an additional extra for “premium location” aka the airport which we booked through? Seems to be a faff trying to get money back and I guess they add on these extra charges and hope people don’t notice! Absolutely shocking, glad we have proof otherwise would be their word against ours. Avoid at all costs unless you want to spend the week after your trip fighting for money back that has been in honestly taken.
