    Sixt desk service employee Khalid was extremely polite and helpful to us on one of the hottest days of the year. Khalid ensured that we received a car with an upgraded air-conditioning system at no extra cost for which we were very grateful. The cost for 4 days rental was by far the cheapest I could find. Highly recommended and will use again.

    Awful. We went from terminus north to terminal south, with kids and luggage, to find a paper on the door saying the agency was closed and we had to go to the other agency at north terminal. We lost more than 30 minutes, when they could have send texts or emails to inform about the change. Arrived at the other agency, they announced at "small" waiting time of 45 minutes, but after 1 hour admitted it was more likely we would wait 2 hours. Terrible service

    Extremely disappointing experience with SIXT UK. I booked a vehicle based on its advertised luggage capacity, only to be offered a replacement that was clearly too small for our needs. Rather than providing a comparable alternative, the discussion quickly shifted towards paid upgrade options. Although a resolution was eventually reached, it came at an additional cost of over £600 and left me feeling pressured into spending considerably more than I had budgeted for. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of a series of issues during the rental. During our trip, we experienced a theft incident, which resulted in significant disruption to our travel plans. As a result, we returned our car 1.5 hours late and called to give SIXT advance notice of our late arrival. Although SIXT eventually agreed to reduce the charge of an additional day by 50%, it was disappointing that a charge was levied at all given the exceptional circumstances and the fact that we proactively contacted SIXT regarding the delay. Following the rental, I encountered further difficulties obtaining my refund because the credit card originally used for the rental had been cancelled after the theft. I was informed that the refund team would contact me, yet weeks passed without any update, leaving me to repeatedly chase for information regarding money that was rightfully owed to me. To add to the frustration, SIXT subsequently charged a £40 administration fee in connection with a £35 traffic penalty. While this is in line with their terms and conditions, it definitely leaves a poor impression. What was even more disappointing was the repeated use of template responses when I requested that the matter be reviewed from a customer service perspective. I appreciate that SIXT eventually provided some concessions. However, the overall experience was characterised by poor communication, inflexible policies, unexpected additional costs, and being pushed around different customer service agents. Based on this experience, I would not choose SIXT again and cannot recommend them to others.

    Renting a car for one week from Gatwick now in June was fine, car, service, peolple all.... until I came home; I got a traffick fine of £ 90 pounds for a minor offence. Uk fines are terrible and show no mercy. In addition to this Sixt put on a £40 administrative fee !!! Someone there should have their heads analyzed. I have been a good customer to Sixt for 2 decades, returning to the UK, up to 2 times a year using rental cars. This time was the last one with Sixt ! Probably they might think that £ 90 was not enough punishment /fine. A more human fee would be £10. Is this a nice way to treat a returning customer ??!! Never again !

    This was my first time using SIXT and the customer service was incredible. I usually rent from alternative companies but today’s experience was fantastic and I’ll definitely be returning. Everything went smoothly and perfectly. A huge thank you to Khaled for the exceptional service you provided.
