  Alamo is one of the best car rental services I have ever used. The service was quick and easy. The car was good. I highly recommend them going forward and I know what company I'm using in the future!

  People working here are just such a hit and miss- I‘ve been charged for fuel and insurances wrongly before so watch out. Some other people have been lovely.

  We are writing to warn anyone renting from Alamo / Enterprise at London Gatwick Airport. When returning the car, we waited over 30 minutes for an agent to inspect it risking missing our flight. A staff member finally told us to hand the keys directly to them so we could leave. Despite this in-person handover, Enterprise falsely recorded it as a "dropbox return" and kept our contract status as "Ongoing" for days. We are 100% certain we did NOT cause any damage. Yet, they charged our credit card £100.00 for an alleged dent near the fuel cap, supporting their claim with only an undated photo without timestamps, no pre / post-rental comparison photos, and no signed check-in report. To make matters worse, they processed this unauthorized charge while a formal dispute was actively under investigation by their own Damage Recovery Unit. Alamo / Enterprise broken the chain of custody by failing to check the car in upon key handover, leaving the vehicle under their sole care, and then billing us for damage that occurred after we left. We have now opened a formal dispute with American Express. Be extremely careful and record everything if you rent here!

  Rented a van from Gatwick for a month back in Apr/May. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The van was low on AdBlue, and I had never driven a diesel before, but Alamo just had me stop by any location and they would top it up for me. Possibly should have been filled before I picked up the van, but regardless, they were helpful and made it convenient. I also had a flat due to a cracked rim (while on the trip), and they provided clear and easy instructions on how to get it fixed and what course of action to take, when I returned the vehicle. Returning the van was fairly quick and simple. Again, the staff were very courteous and made the process smooth and easy.

  Our recent experience with Alamo during a trip to Ireland this spring (... not the car I wanted, no suitable replacement, and in the end I ended up with a year-old Seat Tarraco with over 100,000 km on it! km - the tires and suspension were already well past their expected lifespan - a scandal!!!! But... - Alamo promised (upon return in Dublin) to immediately seek appropriate compensation and get in touch with us... - of course, that never happened... Now we went to England - booked at “Alamo Gatwick”... Same story… - I booked a car that met my needs! A sedan with legroom - because two of the three passengers are two meters plus tall and the third is also over 1.9 meters…) What did we get offered in Gatwick was an unsuitable model (Nissan Qashqai)… Understanding or help - no chance...- just the note that this was in line with the booked class anyway... BUT an expensive upgrade would have been possible...!! I travel a lot on business and therefore often use hire cars... – usually the providers are accommodating if the vehicles they’re actually supposed to offer aren’t actually available... As I was told by Alamo staff at Gatwick, the car I’d booked doesn’t actually exist... - But - why is this specific type listed on the website and later confirmed at the time of booking... - they might as well just use children’s drawings of random cars as placeholders and point out that you can save yourself all the hassle of choosing a vehicle anyway....!!! Two times Alamo - two times total crap... - and that’s why: I STAY AWAY FROM THEM (and the other "group companies") FROM NOW! AND - I hope that every Alamo employee - wherever they end up - is confronted with the same “quality of service” that Alamo provides to its customers...
