- IOID OfficeMay 20, 20262.0Vehicle not ready on time. Excess policy/charges not clear at all on the website. Taking out extra cover in case of accident doesn't apply to wheels or the windscreen, that is additional again. Whether you take out the protection or not, be aware that you get charged per piece of damage to the vehicle (should you damage it) it isn't a one of excess. Due to being messed about, we were given a 'free' quarter of a tank of fuel. This wasn't communicated when we returned it and the staff member said we hadn't put enough fuel in upon our return. She hadn't read any notes.

We rented a van over a week in advance for our house move and we were meant to collect the van at 8/8:30 in the morning and have it until 1pm the next day. 9am rolls around and there is still no van, they eventually turn around and tell us that they are unable to supply a van as a corporate client had decided to extend their booking. To make matters worse the staff didn’t seem to care at all and told us we might be able to have one if we drove to Gloucester (at least an hour and a half’s round trip). Moving house is stressful enough anyway but when a supposedly reputable company doesn’t bother to honour your booking it makes it ten times worse. Luckily a local company was able to save the day. Avoid at all costs and go local instead!!
