  I hired a van over the weekend to go camping. When i was shown the van for the first time it was in a horrendous state, dirty inside and out but what was worse was the condition of the van, chips and scratches everywhere, a chip in the passenger side windscreen. I told them I wasn't happy and was told they would clean it. This should have been done before showing me the vehicle. The van hadnt been looked after at all which ruined my weekend as all i could think about was the condition of the van. To top it off, I left my DJI camera in the van in a rush to get it back to them; needless to say, I never had that back. I know that was my fault, but it just added to the experience. I have used Enterprise a few times, but this will be the last. I'm sure you will see a reply from Enterprise, but that will just be a token gesture. Think carefully before using

  Terrible experience with enterprise. Hired a van for a house move across country, and it was cancelled less than 12 hours before I was due to collect the van and move. Had to use another company last minute which was double the price. Enterprise has taken nearly 2 months to refund my booking as I paid upfront online. Countless emails and calls ignored, told that my case was being escalated to management but still no response. Eventually got a refund after nearly 2 months but no apology or offer of any sort of compensation. The stress that this caused is unbelievable, especially on top of a stressful house move. Terrible service.

  am an Enterprise Plus customer and frequently hire a car, this time I was hiring a van to take personal items to Spain. I had booked a van on line having spoken to someone via phone to confirm my requirements. Unfortunately on my arrival to pick up van there had been some clerical error and I was told the van could not released without the necessary paperwork. I had booked ferry crossings and B&B in advance so I was somewhat frustrated. Haz, the duty manager overheard the conversation and immediately stepped in to see if he could resolve the situation. He worked above and beyond my expectations to resolve the situation. We was then able to take the van load our items and return the following morning for the necessary paperwork to continue our journey without having to amend ferry or B& B bookings. Haz was polite, professional and a credit to your company to ensure both “the customer” and “the company” had what was required to complete another booking. We have told all family & friends that if required this is the place to hire from. Once again many thanks Haz for your personal service.

  I made this booking and paid for it on Friday, 26 June, giving Enterprise plenty of notice to fulfil the reservation. At approximately 1:00pm on the day of collection, my partner received a phone call from Enzo at the Bridgend branch advising that the van would not be available. We were told that another vehicle would be sourced and that we would receive a call back. No one contacted us. I then called the Bridgend branch myself and spoke to Enzo to question the situation, explaining that it was completely unacceptable to inform a customer only a few hours before collection that a pre-booked and pre-paid vehicle may not be available. During this conversation, Enzo reassured me that a van had been secured for us and that it would definitely be available for collection at 5:30pm. I was specifically told to bring my driving licence and all necessary documentation. However, at 5:05pm—just 25 minutes before collection—my partner received another call from Enzo advising that there was, in fact, no van available. We were informed that the vehicle intended for us had been extended by another customer and that the branch had only just become aware of this. I find it extremely difficult to accept that this situation only became known moments before our collection time. I asked that alternative arrangements be made, as this level of service is wholly unacceptable. We were then left on hold for approximately 20 minutes before the call went nowhere. When we attempted to call back, no one answered, and the branch closed at 6:00pm, leaving us without any vehicle or any support. This was not a leisure booking. The van was required to move belongings from my late grandfather’s home ahead of the sale of the property. Family members had arranged annual leave specifically to help with the move. Due to Enterprise’s failure to honour a confirmed and pre-paid booking, an already emotional and difficult situation became significantly more stressful and upsetting. The lack of communication, contradictory information provided throughout the day by the same member of staff, and complete failure to offer a solution or even answer the telephone before closing is unacceptable. A confirmed, pre-paid booking should provide customers with confidence that the vehicle they have paid for will be available. To make matters worse, I have not recieved a refund or had a call back from Enterprise, i recently contacted the complaints team and they advised that they actually processed a refund the day BEFORE my booking, therefore it shows that they knew at least a day prior that they was not going to be able to fufill my reservation.
