- FFFrancis1 day ago1.0I have used Bathwick Tyres for the past three years, including for MOT testing, but unfortunately my most recent experience has been very disappointing. My car went in for its MOT and failed because of corrosion underneath the car. I knew there was some corrosion, but before the MOT there were no holes in the underbody/sills that I was aware of. After the MOT inspection, I was shown holes in the corroded areas, which was very concerning to me. I am not accusing anyone of deliberately causing damage, but I do feel that Bathwick Tyres needs to be much more careful when inspecting and probing already-corroded areas, as the condition of the car after the inspection left me very unhappy. The car was otherwise running perfectly and had recently had new front discs and pads, along with other maintenance work. Unfortunately, after the MOT failure and the corrosion issue, I ultimately decided to scrap the car, even though I wasn’t originally ready to do so. Having used Bathwick Tyres for around three years, this third experience has really disappointed me. I hope the company takes this feedback seriously and is more careful when carrying out MOT inspections on vehicles with corrosion. I would strongly encourage Bathwick Tyres to review how these inspections are carried out and how customers are informed when corrosion is found.
