  Excellent service and price, although the courtesy bus took too long to come and pick the gathering group of people up.

  Just returned our car rental back after having it for just over 24hrs. We thought it would be a simple case of a quick inspection and told we'd have our deposit back. Oh, no... it seems (after reading previous reviews on here) that the scammers were at it again. Instead of leaving with £200, they charged us an extra £50 for scratches along the wheel arch - which looked old, by the way. Apparently, they inspect the vehicle before we leave. I'd like to see their photos. Unfortunately, we didn't take any trusting that all would be ok. NEVER use Alamo at Gatwick airport! Complete rip-off!

  WARNING, SCAM. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE: Rented a car from Alamo Gatwick a few weeks ago. Collected it at night and inspection took place in a completely unlit corner of the car park. Car had plenty of small scratches over it but the Enterprise/Alamo attendant told me not to worry because they only consider damages over 2 inches. Based on this information I agree to sign the rental agreement and be on my way. When I drove off I realised there was snot or sick residue on the steering wheel and behind the buttons. I had to stop at the gas station to clean it off. Disgusting! Too top it off after I return the vehicle I find they charged £2000 to my credit card. When I get through the claims department they turns out they're trying to charge me for a scratch they said was OK on pick-up. The state of these rental car companies is absolutely disgraceful. DO NOT RENT. IF YOU DO TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEO (BEFORE AND AFTER) AND LEAVE A NOTE IN THE VEHICLE THAT YOU'VE DONE SO TO DETER THEM TRYING IT ON.

  Gatwick airport signage is terrible. Made us walk all over until we found the right place. Not Alamo’s fault. Just FYI. Rental and return couldn’t have been easier and the car was great. Thanks for the upgrade! Awesome and friendly staff.
