Booked my work van in for a service at D&G Autocare in Stirling on Friday and was initially told it would be ready for collection the same day. I was told I would receive a phone call when it was ready, but no call ever came. I had to phone before they closing myself, only to be told the van needed new brakes and would now be ready first thing Monday morning.
Monday morning has came and went with no communication again. I had to call the branch at 12:30pm, only to be told the brakes hadn’t arrived and the van wouldn’t be ready until Tuesday.
I appreciate that parts delays can happen and that not everything is within a garage’s control. However, what I find unacceptable is having to repeatedly chase for updates when I was specifically told I would be contacted, particularly when the expected collection date had changed more than once.
What made this experience worse so far, was asking why I had been told the van would be ready Monday morning, only to be met with the dismissive response, “Because I’ve just told you, it will be ready tomorrow.” When I questioned this again, I received exactly the same answer rather than any explanation.
Delays can happen, but keeping customers informed and treating them respectfully shouldn’t be too much to ask.

Absolutely brilliant service from James. He was friendly, helpful and kept me informed throughout. My car was taken to the garage with a thermostat issue and he managed to get everything diagnosed, repaired and back to me within a day.
Really appreciated how quickly he got it sorted, especially as I rely on my car so much. Great service from start to finish and I’d definitely recommend him. Thank you again, James!
