Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Sahil and Yousuf at Sixt. Their customer service was top-notch, friendly, professional, and they made me feel genuinely happy and satisfied with the whole process. The car was excellent too. Thank you both for such a great experience. Sixt is lucky to have you!
Good experience here as the customer service especially on drop was outstanding, got us in and out quickly , made the whole experience much more enjoyable.

I’ve hired from SIXT at Birmingham Airport on a number of occasions, and a big reason I keep coming back is Fazil.
From the moment you arrive, Fazil’s approach to customer service stands out. He always greets customers with a genuine smile and a friendly, professional manner, which is noticeably different from the experience I’ve had with many other car hire desks at BHX.
On my latest rental, he took the time to understand exactly what I needed and recommended an upgrade (at an additional cost) that genuinely suited my requirements far better than my original booking. It wasn’t a hard sell, it was simply good advice, and I’m really glad I took it.
It’s the little things that make the difference too, offering to help with bags, opening doors, taking the time to explain everything properly, and making sure you’re looked after. Those small touches are becoming increasingly rare, but Fazil delivers them consistently.
As an airline worker, I’m regularly at Birmingham Airport and always try to use SIXT because of the customer service Fazil provides. The online prices don’t always make that possible, but if SIXT is only slightly more expensive than the alternatives, I’ll choose them every time because I know the service will be worth it.
Thanks for the amazing service, Fazil. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s noticed and it’s appreciated.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with SIXT was so disappointing that I feel others should be aware before renting.
From the moment we collected the car, the experience felt geared towards upselling additional products and insurance. The vehicle we were expecting wasn't even available, and the overall customer service left a lot to be desired.
After returning the vehicle, we were shocked to receive a damage claim of almost **€800** for what appears to be nothing more than a tiny fingernail-sized scratch. We have repeatedly asked SIXT to provide evidence that this damage occurred during our rental, but they have been unable to do so.
What makes this even more frustrating is that their own documentation already records a scratch on the same rear driver's side of the vehicle before our rental began. Despite this, they are attempting to hold us responsible without explaining how they determined this is different from the previously recorded damage.
When we requested proof, we were simply told that SIXT does not take pre-rental photographs of its vehicles. Instead of providing evidence that we caused the damage, they relied on their internal policy and sent photographs that are so unclear that I genuinely cannot identify the alleged damage.
Communication has been incredibly slow throughout the process. Responses take days, questions are ignored, and instead of addressing the concerns we've raised, we've received threatening emails demanding payment. Rather than investigating the matter fairly, it feels as though the assumption is that the customer must pay first and ask questions later.
To make matters worse, the staff we dealt with were dismissive and unhelpful. We were treated as though we were inconveniencing them simply by asking reasonable questions about a claim for hundreds of euros.
Overall, our experience included:
* Aggressive upselling.
* The requested vehicle not being available.
* Hidden or unexpected charges.
* Extremely poor communication.
* Unhelpful and rude customer service.
* An €800 damage claim for a tiny scratch that SIXT has not demonstrated we caused, despite a scratch already being recorded on the vehicle before our rental.
Based on our experience, I would strongly advise anyone renting from SIXT to inspect the vehicle in meticulous detail, take comprehensive photos and videos from every angle before leaving the car park, and do the same when returning it. Without your own evidence, you may find yourself trying to defend against a damage claim that you believe is unjustified.
This has been one of the most stressful and frustrating car rental experiences I've ever had, and I won't be using SIXT again.

Impressed by the positive reviews on this website, I decided to make a reservation. I paid online when I did the booking and sent a copy of my driver's license for their verification. Upon arriving at the company to pick up the car, I was informed that the vehicle had no insurance coverage at all(I've mentioned the car must to have the basic insurance to go)and that I had to pay an extra £146 on top of the rental fee. That meant £129.95 for the 3-day rental plus £146.00 for insurance—a total of £274.95 for three days. Furthermore, although I had booked a car at the £40/day rate, the agent tried to offer me a £35/day car, claiming it was an upgrade over the one I had reserved. Also I pointed out three times that he had entered my address incorrectly into his computer, but he eventually gave up and said it was fine. Seeing this deceptive talk of forcing you to pay more, I decided cancelled the whole thing. I am an experienced bus driver—having worked in London, Birmingham, and Coventry—so I know how these companies operate, but this particular company is full of real scammers. Be careful; once you arrive in Birmingham, you might find yourself forced to pay extra money with no other options available.
