  Great from picking the car up and returning it, a knowledgeable and proud member of the Enterprise team. They clearly both recruit and train their colleagues well. It’s always people that sell a business and make the difference in customer experience

  I collected the car, Tuesday 7th April 2026 it had a low pressure warning. I took the car back, they assured me that it was fine. Set off on my 220mile journey from St Helens to London. Result: Flat tire in the outside lane at 70mph on the busy M6 motorway between Birmingham and Coventry. Luckily just before the hard shoulder ended. I had to get the car a temporary fix to get down the M6 at a portion with no hard shoulder in fast moving traffic. Then another medium term fix at the next motorway services. (the tire had in-fact been previously given a now failed term puncture repair before I rented the vehicle) Then I had to take the car to a Tire place in Coventry. I arrived London several hours later than expected . Enterprise Lewisham had closed by then so I was stuck with the car overnight. Lewisham Enterprise branch had no interest in the fact that I had paid for a car that was essentially unroadworthy. When I collected the car from St Helens it had a large crack in the windscreen. This would be an MOT failure. When I collected the car it had someone else's mobile phone left in the centre console. My father had to personally return this to Enterprise as I was already late for my journey due to having to take the car back to check the tire. The vehicle is a Mercedes CLA not an E Class or similar category which in the automotive industry is categorised as an E-segment vehicle in terms of size. Others include Audi A6, BMW 5 Series. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-segment The CLA is categorized as C-Segment https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_CLA So two classes below what I paid for. The C in the name is a red herring, its based on the AClass platform with some B class parts. One of the smallest Mercedes offer. "Compact Segment: It sits on Mercedes' compact car platform alongside the A-Class and B-Class." The E class is only one size down from the largest platform Mercedes offer (the S class). "Global/Euro Category: E-segment (Executive car)US Category: Mid-size luxury sedan / Full-size carVehicle Size: Upper mid-range luxury" The CLA is a >£30k car The E Class is a >£55k car. Note-The spec was CLA 180 which is the lowest for that model of car. Base model essentially. According to the rental agreement: "Vehicle Class Driven Premium Auto 4/5 door/Automatic/Air Vehicle Class Charged Large Premium Auto 4 door/Automatic/Air" Yet the price remained the same as when I booked it. No apology, no reduction in price. I paid £ 198.04 for the car for the day. This included the reduction in insurance excess I complained through two formal routes about paying over the odds for a vehicle that was unroadworthy and dangerous but received no response.
