  Excellent service. Many of other companies refused rent a vehicle because I didn’t had a physical card with me. But SIXT gave me option to pay security deposit with Apple Pay. They gave me a good quality car for good price with clean car seat

  Pickup relatively smooth. They sorted out some initial issues (albeit ones they created like providing vehicle without satnav though specifically booked) and while there was a pushing of some upsell items, it wasn't outside industry normal. Drop off not staffed during return (despite hours stating otherwise), resulting in discrepancies that would have been resolved in-person (i.e. dubious damage) and claim vehicle not returned with full tank. Overall, experience with vehicle during an 11-day rental not terrible, but the customer experience undistinguished from any other rental outfits. Customer response to aforementioned return issues was relatively prompt, but tone of communication was generally dismissive and uninformed. Given no real reason to seek SIXT out specifically vs. other companies again for my future car rental needs.

  I have used Sixt in many places around the world, and this one perhaps was the best. The vehicle they gave me was perfect for my trip, in great working condition, and incredibly fuel-efficient. No complaints. Pick up was so smooth and easy. I did have two issues (not with Sixt) - one was while driving something came out of "nowhere" and hit my windshield, hard. (Perhaps something falling from the hill next to me or a tree?) Whatever it was it immediately left quite the dink/chip in the windshield. The second issue was that, while parked visiting one of the more touristy spots, someone clearly swiped the side of my rear right bumper, and of course did not wait to say anything or leave a note. Although I had purchased almost all of the insurances (which I would suggest to anyone hiring a car in Scotland!) I was still quite nervous about if there would be trouble for me when I returned the car. Upon dropping the car off to return, I showed the attendant both issues and he was so gracious, kind, and positive! We had a wee laugh about the incidents and he assured me that because I had smartly purchased the insurances there would be no repercussions to me, despite the obvious damage points. I will definitely rent from these guys again, and would suggest to anyone looking for great service, and nice car options. :)

  Initial experience at the store was good. They provided a great car, helpful tips and an easy process. My issues came months after and are with SIXT as a whole, not the Glasgow store When I returned my vehicle I called in the days after and asked if everything went well, as there was no one on site during my drop off. I had it confirmed to be over the phone that my car was in order and the invoice was closed. Now almost 3 months later I receive a $60/£40 invoice because they forwarded me a bus lane ticket and with that they discovered my initial rental payment never actually went through and gave me 7 days notice to pay $1500/£1115. There was no attempt to contact me prior and the online customer service was terrible. I am fine keeping my end of the responsibility but SIXT made it incredibly hard to actually give them the payment by their dead lines and I had to keep going from department to department until I could find someone who could actually allow me to pay. This is a lot of money for just a few days notice and I feel like they could have handled it much better.
