  Excellent service, was able to leave my damaged car there for repair company to pick up later,and when it was repaired it was waiting for me at Enterprise when I returned courtesy car,very happy with everything, would definitely recommend them for anyone who wants to hire a car

  I made a booking for a van two weeks prior to hiring. At 6pm the evening before I was due to collect the van, I had a call to say the large van was unavailable due to damage and I was offered a medium van. It was too late to look elsewhere, so I had to struggle with the capacity of the smaller vehicle. The van I was able to hire was clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and professional, particularly Taz, who dealt with me throughout the hiring experience.

  Initially I was delighted with the service provided, the car I was allocated was a brand new Ford Puma , the service was friendly and everything was fine. However when I returned the car they discovered a cut in the sidewall of one of the tyres and a small piece of cord was showing. They claimed that I was responsible for this damage and would have to pay for a new tyre under the rental conditions. I asked the depot manager what the cost would be and he said around £80 so I very reluctantly agreed to this and asked to be kept advised of the tyre cost. This all happened around 11.00 am but by 5.00 pm I had not had the courtesy of a call back so I rang the depot. I was told that the tyre had been changed but they couldn’t advise me of the cost as it all goes through head office! I would have thought a call to the tyre fitters could have given them the cost! I did offer to go 50/50 on the cost but was told the company didn’t allow that! Despite holding a £200 deposit on the initial hire of the car Enterprise then charged me £100 for the cost of a tyre they didn’t know the price of!! Other reviews seem to indicate that I may have to pay an Admin fee even though this was not mentioned by the manager when I agreed to pay for the tyre, very annoying!! I was planning to hire a van with Enterprise back home in East Sussex but I am concerned that this practice is company policy! I am hoping that the insurance cover I took out will cover the costs but of course I need to know how much to claim and Enterprise seem loathe to tell me!!!
