- RBRobert BowsherApr 23, 20262.0Filled the Motorhome up yesterday with over £100 of diesel only to find that the safety cut off on pump number five wasn’t working, so at least 3 L poured out from my tank onto the forecourt floor, Maybe more. No gloves available on left hand and Centre bank of pumps which is ridiculous.. Informed the staff that their safety cut-off wasn’t working and that were there was a big diesel spill by pump five but they didn’t seem interested. Said I was not happy that I’ve wasted so much fuel, But again, no interest shown, no apologies made, no, I’ll come and deal with the spill, nothing. Advised them to get the pump checked as it’s a safety issue. Still no interest. I understand that they’re probably not paid enough to worry about things, but that’s their job after all. They have a responsibility to their customer doesn’t matter how much they’re paid.. I used to work on a Garage forecourt So understand that safety is paramount. Sorry Tesco’s very poor Service. Have since found out that pump number nine safety cut out wasn’t working but at least four months ago and probably still the same, All the pumps need investigating and servicing immediately.
