  I live local to this branch and have never had any issues . The staff are always helpful and I returned a car today and the assistant manager he said his name is shah was friendly polite and most importantly made me feel like I was a valued customer. Well done to the team in Oldham keep it up guys.

  I’ve used Enterprise Oldham a few times now and the service has always been very good. The lads there are great, and honestly all the staff across the board are friendly, helpful and professional. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because, on a couple of occasions, the cars I’ve taken have not been cleaned properly and could definitely have been washed better before collection. Other than that, brilliant service and a great team. I’d still happily use them again.

If my experience had ended there, I would have described it as excellent without hesitation. However, things changed the following day when I needed to contact customer services after noticing that the oil level in the courtesy car was low. I expected a simple conversation just a quick enquiry to make sure everything was safe. Instead, the interaction was unexpectedly unpleasant. The representative I spoke to on the phone was abrupt, dismissive, and came across as if my question was an inconvenience rather than a legitimate concern. It was surprising, especially after such a positive start with the Oldham team. The contrast between the two experiences couldn’t have been clearer. Where the Oldham branch had been helpful and professional, the customer services line felt unhelpful and unnecessarily rude. It left me feeling frustrated and unsure why such a basic enquiry was met with that kind of attitude. Because of how unhelpful the phone call was, I contacted the Oldham branch directly. The difference was immediate. They were apologetic, understanding, and genuinely concerned that I’d been spoken to that way. They reassured me, checked everything properly, and made sure the issue was resolved. Their response was everything you’d hope for calm, respectful, and focused on putting things right. But here’s the thing: they shouldn’t have been the ones apologising. The Oldham staff had done nothing wrong. They had been outstanding from the very beginning. The apology should have come from the customer services team, because the problem started with them, not with the branch. It didn’t feel fair that the Oldham team were left to clean up a situation they didn’t create. If anything, this experience highlighted just how strong the Oldham branch is. They handled the situation with professionalism and empathy, and they restored my confidence in the process. Their service has been consistently excellent, and they deserve recognition for that. The issue lies with the phone‑based customer service, which clearly needs improvement in how it communicates with customers who are already dealing with the inconvenience of being without their own vehicle. Overall, my experience with the Oldham branch has been outstanding. They’ve shown what good customer service looks like supportive, respectful, and solution‑focused. I can’t fault them at all. My only disappointment was with the customer services line, and I hope Enterprise takes steps to address that, because the difference between the two was night and day.
