- MDM DayJun 20, 20261.0Absolutely terrible experience. I booked my car in for a Premium Service and was later contacted and told it urgently needed two new tyres, new brake pads and discs, plus replacement coil springs and two shock absorbers. The additional work was quoted at over £600 on top of the service cost. The moment it became clear I wasn’t just going to accept everything I was being told and hand over another £600+, the attitude of the person on the phone changed completely. That immediately raised alarm bells. I took the car to an independent mechanic for a second opinion the very next day, and the findings were completely different. The car does NOT need two new tyres, the front pads and discs still have thousands of miles of life left in them, and while one rear disc is slightly pitted, it is nowhere near as bad as I was told. The mechanic also confirmed the coil springs simply needed cleaning and did not require replacement. As for the supposedly leaking shocks/struts, there was only a light oil residue and nothing to suggest the serious issue I was sold over the phone. To make matters worse, the Premium Service included an air conditioning regas, yet the air conditioning doesn’t feel any colder than before. It genuinely makes me question whether it was even done. The whole experience felt like an attempt to generate extra work and pressure me into spending hundreds of pounds on repairs that simply weren’t needed. £600+ for brakes and two tyres alone is outrageous. Once they realised I wasn’t willing to be fleeced, their tone changed instantly, which only reinforced my suspicions. Needless to say, I won’t be using this company again and I certainly won’t be recommending them to anyone. What should have been a routine service turned into an experience that felt more like an upselling exercise than honest vehicle maintenance. Avoid
