  I recently visited for four new tyres, an alignment check, and a front wheel alignment. Before the work was carried out, my steering wheel was correctly centred when driving straight. During the alignment check, I was advised that alignment work was needed, but I was not informed which wheels required adjustment or given a clear explanation of the issue. I proceeded with the front wheel alignment, as this was the option offered. After the alignment was completed, I immediately noticed that the steering wheel was no longer centred when the vehicle was travelling straight. I returned to the garage twice to raise the issue and explained that the steering wheel position had changed after their work. I was told that the machine showed everything was within specification and that there was no problem. While the alignment readings may appear acceptable on the computer, the vehicle was returned to me with a steering wheel that was no longer straight - a problem that did not exist before the service. A proper alignment should include ensuring the steering wheel is correctly centred, not just achieving acceptable figures on a machine. Disappointing that my concern was not properly investigated or resolved, especially after returning twice. I expected the vehicle to be returned in the same condition as before, or better, not with a new issue that I then had to chase up. The car was then taken to another, independent garage who have advised only the front needed aligning (work which this place should have completed) and confirmed that this wasn’t carried out properly in the first place.

  Extremely poor experience with this Selecta tyre -Team Protyre. The tracking was not done properly, and as a direct result my front passenger tyre wore out abnormally fast while the other tyres were unaffected. When I returned to raise the issue, I was told that if it was a tracking problem both tyres would wear the same. That explanation is not accurate to what actually happened and felt like a way of avoiding responsibility. The clear evidence is that only one tyre was badly affected, which strongly suggests the work was not carried out correctly in the first place. Overall, the service was unacceptable and the complaint handling was dismissive. I would not recommend this company.

  I would give them a Zero star … unfortunately there is no option. I had the wheel alignment (tracking) carried out on two different cars at this garage. After some time, both vehicles developed excessive wear on the outer edge of the front left tyre. When I returned to raise my concerns, the garage simply dismissed the issue, saying it had “nothing to do with the tracking” and that because I had supplied the tyres, it wasn’t their responsibility. That response was extremely disappointing. No one can say with certainty that alignment alone caused the tyre wear without inspecting the vehicle, but incorrect wheel alignment is a well-known cause of uneven tyre wear. Excessive toe settings or incorrect alignment angles can cause the tyre to scrub against the road surface, leading to accelerated wear on one shoulder. If suspension or steering components are worn, these should also be identified before or during an alignment, as they can prevent accurate adjustment and lead to premature tyre wear. The fact that both cars, after having alignment carried out here, ended up with the same front left outer-edge wear made me feel my concerns deserved a proper investigation rather than being dismissed immediately. I wasn’t expecting free tyres—I simply expected the garage to stand behind their workmanship, inspect the alignment, explain the measurements, and help determine the cause. Instead, they washed their hands of the issue and accepted no responsibility whatsoever. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this garage due to the poor aftercare and unwillingness to investigate a genuine customer concern.

  Went for wheel alignment waste of time been told we couldn’t do it apparently it’s seized and they tried using penetration liquid the following day checked it arms were dry and looks like it haven’t been even touched and went to another company they done it without a single issue they had to use a bit of heat but it was done. Don’t bother booking in waste of 1 hour.

  I called these guys after I found a screw in my tyre on the way to the lake district. They had me booked in within the hour. Great service, friendly staff, definitely recommend 👍
