  Corporate booking. Car due at 12 and is now 45 mins late. Phone just rings out. Continuation of poor service from this branch having been reassured previously it would get better.

  I am writing to formally object to an unauthorized card charge by Enterprise Rent-A-Car and a subsequent damage claim paid out by Aviva without my knowledge or consent. In February 2026, I was provided a courtesy car via my insurance cover following an incident. The facts of the case are as follows: Initial Vehicle Replacement: The boot on the first vehicle suddenly stopped closing due to a mechanical fault. I reported this immediately. Enterprise replaced it with a SUV—stating it was the only vehicle available—despite it exceeding my policy coverage class. Unauthorized Collection Fee: I scheduled the vehicle return after approximately 28 days. Enterprise failed to collect the car on the agreed date and time. The following morning, they charged my payment card approximately £30 for an extra day without my consent or prior notification. When I phoned to request immediate collection and a refund, the representative refused, threatened to report the car as stolen, and hung up. I called Enterprise central customer service, and the car was collected shortly after that same morning. The £30 was never refunded. Unsubstantiated Damage Claim: On September 2, 2026, Enterprise contacted me claiming I owed money for the mechanical issue with the first vehicle's boot. I disputed this, as I had reported the pre-existing/spontaneous failure immediately and heard nothing for six months. Unauthorized Insurance Payout: I contacted my insurer (Aviva) to dispute this claim, only to discover Aviva had already settled it with Enterprise without consulting me or investigating. Aviva is now demanding a £100 excess payment from me. Threatening Communications: On September 17, 2026, Enterprise sent a final notice threatening legal action within 14 days if I do not pay. I do not accept liability for the mechanical boot failure, nor do I accept the unauthorized £30 charge or the £100 excess demand. I request an immediate review of this file, cancellation of the £100 demand, and a full refund of the £30 taken from my account.
