  We are currently trying to obtain a replacement vehicle after a non-fault insurance claim. Our car has a towbar and so we need a like for like replacement (i.e. with a towbar), which I was told was not a problem when I initially contacted the central Enterprise number given by the insurer. I have since been passed to the Kettering branch, who said they would try to source a car with a towbar and call me back. It has been over a week and I've had no contact whatsoever, I have tried on several occasions to phone them, but it seems they don't answer the phone and there is no way to leave a message or contact them by email. So my car is being repaired next week and I still don't have a replacement sorted and very little confidence that Enterprise will provide one. I can't be the first person to need a replace car with a towbar as a result of a non-fault insurance claim! 1 star is being generous. --- Update after contacting Enterprise through online chat following their response to this review. After getting through to a live agent, they informed me that Enterprise "don't do towbars" (despite what I had previously been told by their agents) and to go back to the insurer or contact the local branch....which I can't because they don't pick up the phone. Completely useless customer service and I would advise anyone that has been guided down the route of using Enterprise for their replacement vehicle by their insurer, to avoid them at all costs.

  Even 1 star feels too generous. I booked a car with them **three weeks in advance and paid in full**, expecting everything to be sorted. Then, just **one day before I was due to collect the car**, they called to tell me that because I live in a different city, I could not collect it from the branch I had booked with. They simply sent an email saying my refund had been processed. There was **no proper cancellation email, no apology, and no genuine attempt to resolve the situation** or coordinate with my local branch. My local branch also refused to assist with the Kettering branch's request, leaving me completely stranded. Because they cancelled at the very last minute, I had no choice but to arrange another car urgently, which cost me **almost £500 extra**. To make matters worse, I spent **around two hours on hold**, and customer service was extremely disappointing. Even their own staff seemed unsure about which policy supposedly prevented them from providing the car. Cancelling a fully paid booking with only one day's notice, offering no alternative, and showing so little concern for the inconvenience and additional cost caused is simply unacceptable. A very disappointing and frustrating experience. I would think twice before relying on them for an important booking.

  I hired a Luton van from Kettering branch for moving house and couldn’t fault the service. Booking online was really easy, with no unnecessary paperwork, and the whole process was quick and straightforward. I was given a brand-new Mercedes van, which was lovely to drive, and we had absolutely no issues with it. The Luton has a huge amount of space and was ideal for moving a large volume of furniture and belongings. The staff were friendly and helpful, and returning the van was just as easy as collecting it. Overall, a great experience from start to finish. I’d definitely use 500 Catchers again and would happily recommend the Kettering branch to anyone needing a van

  I had a wonderful experience with the Kettering branch of Enterprise. I had to hire a car due to an awful situation and Omar, the manager, was an absolute godsend. He was extremely knowledgeable, and helped me hire the correct car for my needs. He was very professional, but also very empathic and caring, which I really needed after going through such a traumatic time. He said he had a new team on, but you would never tell from the service I received . Would 100% recommend these guys. Thank you Omar.
