Great service and instructions regarding pick-up and return.
We got a free upgrade to a SUV because they didn't have a smaller car.
The only negative thing was that the car was out of windscreen cleaner so we had to buy it ourselves. Would also help with a simple instruction sheet for the car.

Bardzo dobra wypożyczalnia, samochód był czysty w środku, pomimo problemów z wodą, zewnętrzny wygląd nie miał znaczenia. Obsługa w punkcie odbioru auta bardzo miła. Nasz opiekun wszystko dokładnie wytłumaczył, nawet opisał jak sprawnie zwrócić auto poza godzinami pracy punktu (noc). Napewno to nie jest ostatnia wizyta w tej wypożyczalni. Pozdrawiam

I am a long time SIXT Customer And I use them many times for business trips. This time they really let me down. I had reserved and prepaid an 8 seat van, Four months in advance and I was given a seven seat SUV as the van was not available. Extremely disappointing and unfair.

I rented a car online from Australia, to be picked up from Bristol Airport while we were in the UK visiting my parents.
I was given a forces discount and the BMW 5 Series Estate for the 5 of us plus luggage came in at 848 pounds for 15 days.
When I arrived at Bristol Airport at the correct time and date, the person working behind the counter told me "No staff have turned up this morning and I don't have any cars." Not even the car I had booked 3 weeks prior and paid for.
The SIXT employee then walked me over to the Europcar desk, explained to them what has happened and asked if they had any cars, which funnily enough, they told me they had plenty because they knew this would happen.
I rented a car from Europcar as there was no other option and I needed the vehicle. A smaller BMW 3 series estate, which cost me an extra 200 pounds for 2 less days as I couldn't afford it for any longer.
I emailed SIXT UK later that day, as the phone number provided was never answered, to complain and ask for my money back as I needed it for our time in the UK. They took 4 days to reply and offered me 65 pounds off my next rental, but no reimbursement. This went on for the next 3 weeks..... phone them, no answer, email them, no reply and worst of all, no money back.
They finally contacted me a week after we had arrived back in Australia and advised me that the money had been refunded to my account.
They ruined our time in the UK. I was over 1000 pounds down in my budget, so had to be careful how money was spent, rather than paying for what we wanted.
SIXT offered no compensation for the extra money I had to pay for a different car, nothing for the time I wasted phoning and emailing them during my holiday and for the ridiculous time they took to pay me back for the car that they could not supply.

My advice is to use a different company to rent a car. It might cost a little more, but you have a higher chance of getting the car you've booked.
SIXT customer service is hopeless, so don't expect any assistance if you ever require it.

Ich hab im Juni 26 einen Golf Automatik o.ä. direkt bei Sixt gebucht, also nicht über booking.com o.ä. Wir wurden freundlichst begrüßt, und bekamen ein kostenloses upgrade auf ein VW T Cross ( ich kann jedem , der durch Südengland fährt raten , ein SUV zu mieten. Der Blick über die Hecken und Mauern ist ein besserer!).
Der Wagen war bis auf ein paar Kratzer makellos. Wir haben natürlich, wie Deutsche nun mal sind, trotzdem alles fotografiert und gefilmt. Zumal ein paar Kratzer an der linken Vorderfelge nicht dokumentiert waren. Man wusste zwar Bescheid , aber in der Doku tauchte der Mangel noch nicht auf. Da der Wagen bei Übergabe nicht vollgetankt war, haben wir ihn auch nicht vollgetankt zurückgegeben. Zunächst wurde uns das Nachtanken berechnet, aber nur 5 Minuten nachdem ich den Sixt Service angemailt hatte, bekamen wir eine neue Rechnung ohne den Service des Nachtankens. Grandios! Ich kann jedem nur raten , bei Unstimmigkeiten erstmal freundlich nachzufragen, ob das Problem nicht beseitigt werden kann.
Die Abfahrt aus dem Mietwagenbereich , und die Zufahrt zur Rückgabe des Fahrzeugs ist gut beschildert. Man kommt gut rein und raus. Also wirklich alles war wunderbar. Ich würde SIXT CarHire Bristol uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Nette Mitarbeiter, ein zuverlässiges Auto , BombenService. Was will man mehr???
