Picked up car for 1 day. Rental centre quiet at 0830hrs. Staff at reception friendly and explained things clearly. Luckily I had remembered my credit card for deposit (debit card is not accepted). We had a 200 mile round trip journey and the car was fine for that. The rep who took the car back and checked it over was also cheerful and helpful. Shuttle bus back to airport about 1900hrs was quick (in terminal less than 15min after dropping car back).

I got 30 mins from collection point and got an engine fault on the car. I did all the steps to get recovery out. I then spoke to one of the guys at the pickup location. He came out and swapped cars with me so I didn't have to sit and wait for the recovery. Above and beyond and greatly appreciated.

Gracias Melissa!

Was miss-sold additional insurance at considerable cost. I was wrongly informed in the event of any damage I would be liable for the full excess of £2250, however this is not the case (I would have been liable for any cost *up to* £2250, a key difference). As a result I was conned out of an additional £300. Complaint has been registered with the branch and an unsatisfactory response received. I am awaiting further feedback and if no refund given I will take it to the BVRLA. Vehicle was also hired out showing as "no damage" despite several scratches and small dents which were reported as soon as we picked up the vehicle. Overall not impressed. Edit 13/08/26:- Have since discovered I have been charged twice on my credit card in error and awaiting a response from the company. I will not be using National again.
