  I had an excellent experience with this car rental company. During the rental, an unexpected issue came up, but the staff handled the situation in a very professional, helpful and efficient manner. I greatly appreciated their assistance and the way they dealt with the situation. I would definitely recommend this car rental company to anyone looking for reliable service and excellent customer support.

  Had a flight thorough Bristol and my son forgot his kindle in one of alamo’s cars. Kindle was promptly delivered to Paris for us with the help of one James Hayes. Received kindle intact and operational thanks to the exceptional help of Alamo and DHL. Thank you James!

  Returned a Mazda CX-5 at Bristol Airport after a one-way hire from Luton. Their own agent inspected the car at the counter and confirmed everything was fine. Days later, I received a letter claiming a windscreen chip and a “keyless malfunction” had been found, and £100 excess was simply kept, no explanation, no evidence, no chance to inspect the car myself before it was moved on. If damage was really found, why wasn’t it raised at the counter while I was standing there? Feels like a routine way of milking the deposit after the fact. Avoid unless you’re prepared to fight for your money back afterwards.

  So grateful for the service of Joe and colleagues at Bristol Airport Alamo. We had a double booking issue (not Alamos fault!) that was potentially really expensive for our family, it was super stressful and tricky to work out and the team were so kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to get us from a major problem - around to no problem at all with some real creativity and thoughtful service. Very impressed, highly recommend. The service brilliant and the car also very clean and nice for a good price. 11/10

  Flew to Bristol and picked up a car to get to Port Talbot for a funeral which we almost missed due to the length of time at the desk. I had already done online check in too. Heading back to the airport the car wouldn’t start, our flight was 19:55 and we were leaving Port Talbot at 16:30 to make sure we got back in plenty of time for our flight. Called through to the roadside assistance who were great and arrived approx 18:30 and got the car started and advised me not to stop on the way to Bristol as it may not stop. Got to Bristol in time to wave to the plane off, I needed to get home that night and hats off to Joe and Michael they got me another car and got me on my way advising the would call the following day. I am still awaiting that call, I have tried calling customer service who couldn’t get me off the call quick enough saying the manager wasn’t in but they would call me the following day. That was Friday, still waiting for that. My security deposit is still not back and I’m being told 3-10 days for a refund, something that wasn’t advised. The cars I had were minging and the first car even contained a previous renters agreement with all their personal details on it. I had to drive throughout the night to make sure I got home for work the following morning in Motherwell. I am out of pocket and still struggling to get over lack of sleep. It was already a difficult day attending a family funeral and to be put through having to drive 375 miles through the night was traumatic. Would I recommend Alamo again? Dirty, dodgy cars No call backs No chance
