  Rented a car a month from here over the summer. Good car and good price. Drove it for a whole week without incident, but when returning it they said that there was tyre damage which i am 100% certain was not caused on my trip. They ended up charging me over 160 pounds for the new tyre and "admin fees." I am pretty sure this damage is something that was there from before as it was "noticed" so quickly by the person inspecting the vehicle + i never did anything to create such a cut on the tyre. Feel that they just pass these tyre damages onto the next drivers and reclaim from multiple people for the same damage previously done. Very disappointed

  I have rented from Enterprise/Alamo in Bristol upwards of 20 times I think. Usually no problem. This time picked up the car when it was dark, gave it a check over on the body work and tyres and took a couple of photos of borderline bodywork damage. The radio didn't work in the car as there was no aerial and it felt like the clutch was slipping. When I took the car back, I had to wait ages while the 2 employees seemed to just be chatting and having a nice time in the cabin despite me parking almost in front of them. They saw me several times and just ignored me. In the end I went in and said please could I return the car. They said "all good" but because of the issues with the body work I asked them to check it over. I am not sure if this is what prompted what happened next... They then found a tiny nick on the tyre which I missed at check-in. I drove the car mostly on the motorway, didn't curb it and went over zero potholes, so almost certainly pre-existing damage. From reading other reviews this seems like it's now a familiar pattern/scam at this location... I think this is basically a cynical exploitation of customers who don't take their exorbitant insurance. If you do hire from these people and don't take the insurance, be prepared to have to forensically examine the vehicle. As for me, I won't be using them again, I'll pay the extra and go with one of the other companies I use. A note to PR people, please don't bother putting a follow up message about contacting you, it's lip service for the same end result.

  I paid a deposit of 87. Euro, when I arrived at the airport, they told me that they would have to start all over again because the insurance that I paid, etc. Was not sufficient, although I had paid extra for the insurance. So I'm out-of-pocket by 87. €, then they made me pay €595 for the car inc £200. Deposit, I took great care of the car checked it every day. There wasn't a mark on it, I filled it up to the brim with petrol, and then I had to back the keys and went to the airport and then I got an email saying there was a nail in the tyre, no proof no photographs, just there were for it. I'm absolutely shocked because they then took one hundred pounds from my deposit.And all I receive back was a hundred pounds i found the whole thing extremely stressful. I took great care of that car. There were no photographs, no proof I just feel I was ripped off and take an advantage of because i'm an mature woman over sixty i do not want to ever go through that again
