  An absolutely outstanding service under stressful circumstances after our own car broke down on return from holiday and the AA couldn't get us home same day (or the next it would turn out!). Genuine personal comms from Alice who tried her hardest to find a suitable vehicle as quick as possible with us being laden with suitcases. Steve followed this up later on at night with clear comms and delivery to time. A nice follow up call next day to make sure everything had gone OK completes the picture. Car drop off at Enterprise Whitehaven was also personal. Being greeted by name as I went through the door.

  Staff extremely helpful and friendly at both Newcastle Airport Branch and the service centre. I had to keep extending my rental due to a family emergency and they were absolutely brilliant. Thank you! Would definitely recommend using them.

  We arrived at Newcastle Airport on Sun 2 Aug, with a booking for europcar, which was booked 3rd party through a supposedly reputable and well known company, who I'll never ever use again. We were horrified to discover that europcar closed at midday and we were unable to collect our car. The 3rd party company had defaulted our arrival time to 11.30am which was impossible as our flight was 15.30pm. Fortunately Ellie and her manager were still in the enterprise cabin and quickly arranged us a booking with enterprise. It was certainly not cheap but the price was irrelevant given we had two small children in tow and a dinner booking that evening in the city centre to see our relatives who we'd not seen for 27 years. We'd have been bitterly upset if we'd had to cancel the meetup with them. I cannot thank Ellie and her manager enough for being so sympathetic and accommodating to our situation. The car was great and easy to drive too. I will be going direct to Enterprise next time!!

  ⭐ Very disappointing experience – £200 charged after return I hired a car from Alamo/Enterprise at Newcastle Airport and returned it to Glasgow Airport the following morning. I have been driving in the UK for around 16 years and always take care with rental vehicles. Before leaving Newcastle, I made a video showing the condition of the car. When I returned it in Glasgow, the staff member mentioned a small chip on the front tyre. I showed him my video, and after checking it, he told me everything was fine. My full deposit was then refunded. However, three days later, £200 was taken from my account for the alleged tyre damage. I contacted Alamo/Enterprise and explained everything, including the video evidence and what I had been told at the time of return. I was simply told that I could dispute the claim, which I have done. I am still waiting for their response. This whole situation has been extremely stressful, especially while I was on holiday. If there was a genuine issue with the tyre, it should have been properly addressed when I returned the vehicle, rather than telling me everything was fine and then charging me three days later. Very disappointing customer service and poor communication. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Alamo/Enterprise.

  Miserabel ausgeschildert für Leute, die einen Mietwagen abgeben wollen und noch nie hier waren. Und wenn man aus Versehen in eine der vielen Parkplatzeinfahrt des Airports fährt gibt es keinerlei Wendemöglichkeit. Auskunft: so lange um die Kreisel fahren, bis man alle Weghinweise, auch die kleingedruckten, vollständig gelesen und verstanden hat. Wenn man sich auskennt alles kein Problem, für Fremde verwirrend und miserabel beschildert. Car Rental an sich ok
