  Just a warning that the Alamo car location is in the wrong location on the map. I'd had a long day so was following the sat nav. It took me into the car park, which I didn't find unusual as many car returns are in standard airport car parks. Then I worked out the Google location was obviously an old building and the actual location was down the road. It effectively cost me £6 to go into the car park and out again. (I've added a suggested change in to Google) Otherwise the experience was very good, with nice car and nice staff.

  I had a very disappointing experience with Alamo following a recent rental, particularly regarding how vehicle condition and damage claims are handled. At collection, I specifically asked about the vehicle condition and was informed by staff that all existing damage had already been recorded. However, I was not shown any detailed condition report or given a proper opportunity to verify the vehicle before being asked to sign the agreement. The handover process felt rushed and lacked transparency. After the rental, I was accused of causing a windscreen chip, despite no photographic or verifiable evidence being provided to show that the damage was not pre-existing. The company has relied solely on a generic “no damage documented” statement and a signed agreement, rather than producing clear, time-stamped evidence of the vehicle’s condition at the start of the rental. Additionally, I have photographic evidence showing pre-existing wheel rim damage that was not recorded or highlighted at the time of collection. This raises serious concerns about the quality and consistency of their inspection process. Overall, the experience has been frustrating due to a lack of transparency, insufficient documentation, and what appears to be an unfair approach to attributing damage. I would strongly advise future customers to thoroughly document the vehicle themselves at pickup, as the internal processes may not provide adequate protection. I hope Alamo reviews and improves its vehicle inspection and customer handover procedures to ensure fairness and clarity for customers.

  Thank you for making the rental experience so easy. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful which was just what I needed at the end of a long day travelling.
