  Very disappointing experience with Enterprise Sidcup. I was provided with a rental vehicle in connection with Land Rover Sidcup. When I collected the car, I was specifically instructed by Enterprise to wait for Land Rover to contact me and return the rental vehicle once Land Rover confirmed that the service on my own vehicle had been completed. I followed those instructions exactly and returned the vehicle as soon as Land Rover contacted me to confirm that the service on my car had been completed. Despite this, Enterprise later charged me an additional £53.79, claiming the vehicle had been returned late. Over the course of a week, I contacted the Sidcup branch three separate times to try to resolve the matter. Each time I was told it would be looked into and that someone would get back to me, yet no one did. On my final call, after again being told someone would contact me, I eventually asked directly whether the charge was going to be refunded. I was then simply told no. After a week of repeated calls and promised callbacks, it was extremely frustrating to discover that I could have been given a clear answer from the outset. Had I been told there was a strict return time regardless of when Land Rover contacted me, I would of course have returned the vehicle earlier. Based on my experience, I would personally avoid selecting the Enterprise rental option when booking a Land Rover service unless the return arrangements and any potential additional charges are confirmed in writing beforehand. If you do use it, make sure you get the exact return time in writing rather than relying on verbal instructions. I hope someone from Enterprise senior management reviews this properly and contacts me directly.

  Great staff members who were professional and polite. Extremely happy with the car I received and the handover process. The one negative is the fuel agreement. I understand it must be returned with the same fuel level but feel this should be a full tank. It cost me more than it needed to as it’s impossible to judge how much to return at 3/4.

  My partner broke down on the motorway and was given a hire car from this branch through our breakdown cover. At collection she pointed out scuffs on the alloys and was told not to worry, they’d only charge if they were cracked. The car was driven to Plymouth on the motorway and used for two short local trips. When Enterprise collected it, the staff member pointed out a tyre bulge she couldn’t see, and said a bumper misalignment looked pre-existing. £588 was then taken from her account without warning, outside office hours, with no voicemail or email explaining it. The photographs later sent as evidence are heavily shadowed and show no bulge. We’ve asked repeatedly which image supposedly shows it. Nobody has ever answered. The branch manager replied once, on 21 July, saying it was a damage excess charge. Since then not a single email or call has been answered. We raised a formal complaint and were promised contact from an Area Manager. It never came. Enterprise’s own Damage Recovery Unit has since confirmed in writing that they only ever received £495 of the £588 taken. The remaining £93 is unaccounted for, and we’ve been directed back to this branch to chase it, the same branch that won’t respond. Avoid Enterprise at all costs. We are now out pocket for damage that we did not cause and damage that can’t be seen in the photographs provided.
