  Absolutely disgraceful service from Enterprise. I made a reservation the day before for a van, booked and paid for it online, and believed everything was fully confirmed and sorted. I had approximately £4,000 worth of materials that I urgently needed to collect and deliver to a customer for my business. If I failed to collect and deliver those materials, I was at serious risk of suffering a £4,000 loss. Enterprise then decided to call me at around 5:30pm the evening before the booking to tell me that the van I had reserved for the following day was no longer available. I was basically told there was nothing they could do and that was the end of it. By the time I was left trying to find an alternative, it was around 7:30pm and practically every other van hire company in the area was closed. This is completely unacceptable. What is the point of taking a customer’s reservation and payment online if Enterprise cannot actually guarantee that the vehicle will be there? Their incompetence has potentially left my business facing a £4,000 loss, through absolutely no fault of my own. A business customer relies on a confirmed booking to organise collections, deliveries, staff and customers. You cannot simply cancel at the last minute and act as though it has no consequences. The lack of responsibility, organisation and basic customer care shown by Enterprise has been shocking. I would strongly advise anyone relying on a vehicle for important business commitments to think twice before booking with Enterprise. A confirmed and paid reservation apparently means very little to them. Extremely disappointed and genuinely disgusted with the way this was handled.

  Don’t try to scam me. Expecting me to pay £25 extra otherwise I would have to pay over £2000 towards the insurance should I have an accident even if it’s not my fault. I mean come on enterprise. If you can reduce my insurance payment to £250 once I pay the £25 then you don’t need to charge the £25. It’s because you know most people would fall for it, pay the £25 then no insurance claim then enterprise suddenly get all these extra £25 payments. Absolutely ridiculous. You’ve lost my custom .

  Absolutely avoid - rented a car through my insurer but it has ended up being the worst decision due to lack of customer service and charges. When I picked the car up I was handed the keys and told to sign an iPad. I was not shown round the condition of the car or had anything explained to me. Upon returning the car I was told there was damage and that I had signed the terms and conditions and would be liable for £250. I stated I had not been aware of causing any damage or any damage occurring, nor was I aware of any terms and conditions I’d signed. The staff were quite rude and kept insisting I had been shown the condition of the car prior to taking it. Since returning the vehicle enterprise have not shown me any evidence that the damage was not already there, nor have they responded to my complaint regarding this situation. I can see from other reviews this has happened to other people!
