  Several reviews have mentioned being billed for damage they didn't do and I have had the same problem with Sixt. I'm going to give them another try simply because the RICHMOND location is so convenient for where we stay in London. This time I'm going to take timestamp photos and video of absolutely everything both BEFORE and after the rental. Seems best to do this with the app. btw it works fine on iPhone but I have problems logging in on iPad.

  Absolutely dreadful customer service. I prebooked and paid for, and checked in, and pre-submitted all my details weeks before - with the promise of walking in and collecting the keys on the day. I needed the car to get to a meeting elsewhere in the UK. But when I turned up, they said sorry they won't be giving me the car as I have failed a driving licence check. Now - mea culpa! - I got a 6 month speeding ban 2 years ago for accumulated 20mph-zone 3 point fines. But SURELY they could have told me this ahead of time!? Or at time of booking? Or even run the checks when I checked in?! But no.. They wait until you are in the shop and have no options when they fail to give you a car Guy in the shop was totally powerless to help, and didn't care. Customer service guy on the phone unapologetic. Leaving me scrabbling around to find alternatives. Thankfully an Uber to a Hertz place saved the day, and I was only marginally late for my meeting. But oh the stress!!! Sixt... Never again.

  We’ve had four rentals from this local Sixt and have been very pleased every time. They have a great selection and very friendly and prompt customer service. Shout out to Omar for making our rentals smooth and painless!

  The best car hire in SW London. Competent and professional service. Convenient for train next to Richmond station. Clean, new, premium fleet of cars in good condition.
