  Very upsetting experience at the Tesco petrol station I visited Tesco petrol station today and filled my car with fuel. I was not sure whether I needed to pay at the machine or inside the store, so I went inside and politely asked a member of staff for help. Unfortunately, I found the way he spoke to me and, especially, the way he looked at me extremely upsetting. I did not understand his explanation correctly at first. I thought he was telling me that I needed to insert my card into the machine, when he was actually telling me that I needed to pay inside the store. Another male member of staff then came over. He was kind and helpful, explained what I needed to do, and allowed me to pay inside the store. I appreciated his patience and respectful attitude. I understand that misunderstandings can happen, but there is no reason to make someone feel uncomfortable or embarrassed when they are simply asking for help. His facial expression and attitude made me feel as though I was being treated badly because I did not understand him. For someone who may struggle with English, situations like this can already be difficult and stressful. Staff should be patient, respectful and helpful, especially when a customer is genuinely asking for assistance. I left feeling very upset and embarrassed. I hope Tesco takes this feedback seriously and reminds staff that the way they communicate with customers matters just as much as the service itself.

  Not a cheap petrol anymore there is cheaper out there. Also tesco food is not Cheap anymore.

  They always claim Tesco’s car wash is faulty just to push you to the private hand car wash in their yard. Told me it wasn't working, but used it for their own car right after I turned around.

  Visited around 10 pm. Only 2 of the fuel pumps were open, while the others were blocked off. The biggest issue was that the pumps did not accept contactless payment, only a physical bank card. The kiosk was closed, so there was no alternative. In 2026, this is simply unacceptable. The exit layout was also inconvenient, with only one way out often blocked by cars refuelling.
