    I rented a Citroën ë-C3 Aircross from Sixt Hammersmith for a day trip from London to the Cotswolds. The vehicle was handed over with 74% battery, and I was told this would be more than enough for the journey and return. Unfortunately, I had to spend a significant part of my day charging the car instead of sightseeing. At an InstaVolt ultra-rapid charger, the car would only accept around 10 kW, resulting in a very long charging session. My main disappointment is not the car itself, but the lack of information provided at collection. As someone hiring an EV, I would have appreciated a brief explanation about the vehicle's realistic range, charging behaviour, and what to expect on a longer journey. This would have helped me plan my day better and avoid losing valuable holiday time. The staff were polite, but I believe EV renters—especially those unfamiliar with electric cars—should receive clearer guidance before leaving with the vehicle. In nutshell, I will never hire an EV and if I do ever, certainly not from this place

    Very disappointing experience. I had a confirmed booking, travelled to collect the vehicle, and only then was informed that a third-party verification check had failed. My driving licence was successfully verified through the DVLA, and I was given no clear explanation of what the issue was or how it could be resolved. As a result, I was left without a vehicle at the last minute and had to cancel important plans. If additional verification requirements exist, these should be completed before customers travel to collect their vehicle, not at the rental desk. The staff was polite, but the process was extremely frustrating and caused significant inconvenience.

    BEWARE* Sixt at Hammersmith (london) ripped me off few weeks ago. I had booked and paid in advance for a car keeping its boot/trunk space in mind which was enough for my luggage. The in store sales person (sohaib/middle eastern guy) told me that the car I booked is not available and the car he is offering instead does not accommodate my luggage (my initially booked vehicle would have, and found out later that the only car he said i can get instead would have too). He first offered me an upgrade for 400 additional pounds for 8 days of booking for a category above. The original payment I made was 450+ Dollars. When I rejected that, he said, if I buy basic insurance from sixt, he will give me that car for upgrade as part of it. I didnt want to, but had no option as I had my wife and young kids with me and an extremely hectic flight and airport experience behind us. My credit card already covered the insurance 100%. But sohaib forced my hand into purchasing basic insurance. And if, God Forbid, anything would have happened to the rental, it would have costed me thousands of pounds/dollars. Long story short, I got the insurance for additional 122 pounds. Only to find out later that the car he gave me as an upgrade which he was offering for 400 additional pounds was only 2 dollars extra per day compared to the car I had booked and paid for. I reported this to sixt. And instead of fixing their mistake, they just gave me a cold shoulder. Extremely disappointed with such malpractice. Going to avoid renting from sixt in future. If allowed, I will share the receipt and written chat between me and Sixt associate with this review.
