  These guys at the Paddington office are absolute scam artists. I had a bad feeling from the second I walked in there. Trying to charge for things that were already on the vehicle. Trust me and use Enterprise , Hertz or Avis. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

  Second time booking with Green Motion and once again a great experience! We’ve always had a smooth and easy experience, especially when following their requirements and booking directly with zero excess. Special mention to Natnael, who is always kind, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The first time we even received a car upgrade! Would definitely recommend Green Motion and will happily book again.

  As the previous reviews say, this place is an absolute scam. We were asked to pay in cash, so they can avoid taxes. They have still not returned our deposit for the car rental. Please avoid.

  I had a very bad experience with Green Motion and would not recommend this company. When I returned the car, the staff inspected it using a phone flashlight and went over the vehicle to an unreasonable level of detail, pointing out tiny scratches of approximately 1–2 mm and suggesting I could be charged around £185 for them. What made this particularly concerning is that Green Motion’s own Terms & Conditions state damage thresholds of 40 mm for bodywork and 20 mm for glass. The marks they were pointing out were nowhere near those thresholds. The whole process felt like an attempt to find something—anything—to charge me for. On top of that, I was charged a late return fee. My reservation started at 12:00 pm, but Green Motion did not actually give me the car until around 1:00 pm. Three days later, I returned it at 1:43 pm. They nevertheless calculated the return against the original 12:00 pm booking time and claimed I was 1 hour and 43 minutes late, putting me beyond their 59-minute grace period. In other words, the hour-long delay in actually providing me the vehicle counted against me when I returned it. Between the extremely aggressive damage inspection, the attempt to raise charges over tiny marks that appeared to be well below their own stated damage thresholds, and the late fee despite receiving the car an hour late, this was an extremely frustrating experience. I would not rent from Green Motion again, and I strongly recommend that anyone considering them read the Terms & Conditions carefully, photograph and video every part of the vehicle at pickup, and document the exact time the vehicle is actually handed over.
