  Sort of upset that we kept getting an error within an hour after picking up the car for the cruise control. This was a daily issue. Then I feel like I was trying to be scammed with the left front tire. I took detailed pictures of the entire car prior to leaving the car lot upon picking up the car. There was an existing scratch rim and on the mirror that we pointed out. We were told no worries because it was not larger than the circle but he did not note it and we had nowhere to fill it out upon picking it up. I thought that was odd so I made sure to take even more detailed pics of those 2 spots. Upon dropping off the car the agent said she’d be right with us after looking at the car. She walked right over to that left front tire, knelt down, stayed there for a min and got up and pretending to just circle the rest of the car quickly. She then came to get us to show us small “cut” in the tire right above where that scratched rim was. The thing was that cut looked fresh. There was no dirt under it. It was as if she had just done it. Then proceeded to tell us that we needed to pay for a whole new tire. That we must have hit the curb and scratched the tire. I said NO. First off… hitting a curb wouldn’t CUT a tire like that. I pulled out my pictures and this cut was so small, maybe less than a half inch and I showed that scratched rim was already there. They then proceeded to say didn’t they guy that checked me out explain the tire and window stuff to us… NOPE HE DID NOT! Now I’m feeling very scammed. We refused to pay and after going back and forth because we had pictures they didn’t expect they didn’t make us pay for a whole new tire. But I’m still pretty pissed! How many people are paying for a tire scam???? At 53 years old and many car rentals this is a first for us. Doesn’t sit well.

  Alamo car hire was great! We picked up the car at Gatwick airport and dropped it a few days later at Heathrow. Pick up was very fast, the car we hired was immaculate and very comfortable, and drop off was also seamless. Thanks to Sam at Heathrow car return - so kind and helpful. The shuttle was there ready to take us to the terminal as soon as we had emptied out the car. Seamless service.

  Be aware: This company keeps your card details and may attempt to process charges without clearly explaining what they are for. I rented a car 2-3 weeks ago, and today they tried to charge my card without any prior notification or explanation. Fortunately for me, I use a separate card for rentals and online purchases, and I don't keep money sitting on that card. If there are legitimate charges, customers should be informed first and provided with a clear explanation. Attempting to take payments without proper communication is unacceptable. And to your dumbo company: don't assume customers keep funds available on cards you've stored. If you believe a charge is valid, contact the customer and explain it properly first. If another unexplained charge is attempted, I will have no hesitation in escalating the matter through the appropriate legal channels. Very disappointing experience. I strongly recommend others monitor their accounts carefully after renting from this company.

  The best car rental experience I’ve ever had - ok so I’ve rented a lot of cars in a lot of different airports, my rule is generally always to go with a rental company in terminal because faffing around with buses and taxis to get to another rental facility is normally painful. I flew into terminal 4, previously I rented in terminal and it was an ok experience but still a long walk to the car (granted Heathrow is massive). This time because in terminal was around twice the price, I rented with Alamo. The bus was waiting when I arrived, it took me on my own, I didn’t have to wait for anyone else, and when I arrived at the Alamo site - I didn’t even have to go into the office, the Alamo staff (appreciate you Aman!) greeted me at the doors to their office, took 2 seconds to sign me through the process (on his iPad that seemed to have everything he could possibly need on it), walked me to my car and explained how to get out of the car park. I was shocked at how efficient the process was! And had no troubles returning either. Thank you Alamo! Heathrow is not my favourite airport but you made the process so much easier!

  Abbiamo affittato una macchina il 5/9/26 e riconsegnata il giorno 19/9/26 all'Alamo nei pressi dell' aeroporto Heathrow. Premetto che ho affittato macchina in Marocco,Tunisia, Giordania,Spagna,Francia,America, Canada e svariate volte in Inghilterra! Questo per dire che non sono un novellino di noleggio e nemmeno di guida a destra! La prenotazione, come conducente principale è stata fatta a nome di Daniele Baldo e io Mirco Fontana come secondo conducente ( tutto documento visto che il secondo conducente è stato pagato 191,10£). Parto dall' inizio, arriviamo all'autonoleggio intorno alle 10.30 del mattino. Notiamo subito una fila interminabile e un organizzazione confusionale da parte di giovani operatori (che cercavano di fare del loro meglio per gestire l'enorme afflusso di persone) che in maniera molto sbrigativa consegnavano le vari macchine a noleggio. Toccato il nostro turno, ci viene consegnata una fiat 500.Il bagagliaio della macchina non si apriva e la pulizia della macchina interna(notata in seguito dopo la partenza) lasciava molto a desiderare. Trovate cartacce sotto ai sedili,nel baule,volante unto e aletta parasole lato passeggero con specchietto in condizioni non commentabili! Per il bagagliaio della macchina ci viene scalato ,al momento della scansegna, circa 50£ dalla somma che dovevamo pagare.Il giorno seguente,ci rendiamo conto che non si può viaggiare con le valige(il nostro viaggio prevedeva ogni sera un albergo diverso in varie zone della Cornovaglia e Yorkshire)senza avere un bagagliaio che si aprisse dell' esterno.Decidiamo di fermarci in una carrozzeria,ripariamo l' apertura del bagagliaio evidentemente guastato dai precendenti conducenti e decidiamo di pulire la macchina internamente nella stessa area di servizio a spese nostre. Fino a qui nessun problema!decisione nostra per proseguire un viaggio nel migliore del comfort.Proseguimento per un totale di 14 giorni, il nostro viaggio a chilometri illimitati, prosegue senza alcun problema.Il problema si verifica al momento della consegna! Ore 7.30 del mattino, zero persone davanti a noi.. arriviamo, fermiamo la macchina davanti all' agenzia Alamo e subito un ragazzo viene da noi per controllare il veicolo.. ovviamente l interno perfetto(essendo stato pulito alla nostra partenza) esternamente perfetta visto con non abbiamo avuto nessuna collisione nel corso del nostro viaggio.il ragazzo si fionda sulle gomme e cerchioni della macchina..ecco qua la fregatura!Al momento del ritiro avevo fatto un video(anche se in maniera molto sbrigativa)visto la mole di persone che stavano aspettando e la maniera sbrigativa del nostro check in. Nel video si vedeva la macchina nella visione completa di 360°,allego screenshot della ruota anteriore sinistra, perché è proprio la ruota anteriore sinistra a causa questa TRUFFA! Cerchione graffiato, ammaccato e gomma graffiata.. Nello screenshot che allegherò, si vede le condizioni della ruota anteriore sinistra e del relativo cerchione sfregato in chissà quanti marciapiedi e chissà da quante persone prima di noi. Il ragazzo ci accusa di aver rovinato la ruota,come se l'avessimo tagliata o comunque usurata nei vari marciapiedi nel corso del nostro viaggio.Il cerchione era nella medesima condizione e la ruota graffiata come prima ma con una leggera parte di gomma che si stava spellando.Notata al momento dell' arrivo, ma mia negligenza non aver detto nulla per queste ruote devastate!Arrivando al dunque veniamo accusati di aver distrutto la gomma anteriore sinistra.. ed ecco qua la TRUFFA 216£ addebitate..il prezzo credo sia per un pneumatico di un camion non di una fiat 500, comunque discutiamo, facciamo presente il nostro dissenso e il ragazzo ci dice che non può fare nulla.!Un bel cartello out of service sul parabrezza della macchina e ce ne andiamo con ben 216 STERLINE FREGATE!Con riserva che il pneumatico venga realmente cambiato o assegnato ad un nuovo conducente ignaro di questi graffi e usura dovuti dai vari turisti! Recensioni volutamente in italiano! STATE ALLA LARGA DA ALAMO! Non fatevi ingannare dal prezzo basso!
