  I checked in a day before my reservation, and the system showed that the deposit and total cost for the premium E‑Class I had booked were within the limits of my credit card. The check‑in was successful, and I was informed that the deposit would be £500, which I fully accepted. However, when I arrived to collect the vehicle, I was unexpectedly denied the option to pay the hire fee using a different credit card. My other card did not have enough available balance to cover the new, higher amount that was suddenly required — an amount that did not appear during the online check‑in the previous day. This caused significant inconvenience. As a result, I was given a mid‑sized SUV instead of the premium E‑Class I had reserved and paid for. The SUV had a warning light on the dashboard, which I immediately flagged, but I was told it was a minor issue. In reality, it caused serious safety concerns throughout my trip. The steering became stiff at high speeds and when changing lanes, forcing me to drive more than 700 miles at reduced speeds for safety. I reported the issue to the destination branch and requested a vehicle swap, but this was also refused. I believe Enterprise can be more flexible with policies that do not necessarily protect the customer experience. There is no harm in allowing payment to be split across two credit cards that both belong to me, and there is certainly no harm in authorising a vehicle exchange when safety is involved. Ultimately, I paid the price of a premium vehicle but was given a mid‑sized SUV with mechanical issues, all due to rigid policies that did not take customer safety or fairness into account.

  I was assigned a courtesy car through Enterprise, and the team at this branch treated me with the utmost care and professionalism. The whole process went smoothly with barely any issues. A personal shout-out to Arlind, who looked after me exceptionally well and upgraded me to a lovely Renault Symbioz. I’d also like to thank Joel and Victor for their support throughout.

  I’ve had a couple of rentals from enterprise Enfield and have found the booking, handover and hand back system very efficient and easy to use. The staff genuinely want to be of assistance and will always try to resolve any issues.
