  Fault on the dash showing brakes and tyres . Advised that these had been fixed by the garage but not cleared from the dash .

  The website states that Yeadon is in East Leeds. We have advised to correct that, to state that it is in North West Leeds. It was 2 hours before we could leave with a Luton box van, because the previous booking had overrun. That resulted in being unable to complete, about one third of our planned charity task. That was not the fault of the staff, but illustrates a problem which requires a solution. An "estimate" indicates that we may have paid for a second driver, which we never mentioned and never needed. A printout at the collection point would be useful, to check on the spot, the details of the final agreement and what was paid for. The staff were very helpful and friendly. POSTSCRIPT The "estimate" refers to the sole driver as an "additional" driver, for which a charge of £13.00 was made. Obviously, a sole driver cannot be an "additional" driver. The reason for "estimate", when the vehicle is ready to drive off, is probably because the final payment may be greater at the end of the journey. That may result from an accident and so on. However, it does appear that a "quote" and not an "estimate" is issued, when ready to take the vehicle. The wording is likely to be national and that could be improved, to make it effortless to understand. Laws and legal documents including contracts, are said to be of a high standard, when written in plain language. One way to assess that, is to ask whether anyone could possibly misunderstand, what has been written. Unfamiliar abbreviations are best avoided, whenever possible to do so.
