Kept me waiting 1.5 hours to collect a vehicle as it was having new tyres fitted. When I did eventually get shown the vehicle the 2 front tyres were illegal and I would have got 3 points per tyre and a fine so I rejected the vehicle and used my own. I took pics of the tyres but nowhere to place them on the review.
Didn't give me the option for no stars

They took my partners £200 deposit for a chip in the windscreen which he didn’t do. Our van wasn’t there when we turned up and had to wait over an hour for a replacement one from another branch, which is a 15-20 min journey. An hour later a member of staff called to see where he was and he’d taken a detour for some reason in the complete opposite direction.
He didn’t take him round the van, just said it’s got some damages if you want to walk round and take pics. On the invoice it says 283 miles driven when it was 48 miles, a staff member even said oh you’ve only done 48 miles. On top of all this we have had disgraceful customer service and unable to speak with an area manager as the branch manager was useless and refused to give us contact details for the area manager. They also tried to take an extra £200 from my account after the invoice stating total balance due £0.00. It wasn’t even myself who rented the van.
We are now seeking legal advice. Please avoid at all costs.

After my last review have now had them try to take money out of my partners bank account. Contacted the attached link that someone kindly added at bottom of last review only to be told that I need to email this person and that person as they don’t deal with it so was no help what so ever. Sent me an invoice too that said amount due £0 so god only knows why trying to take another £200 for a mini chip in the windscreen which I didn’t even do. And also on invoice says discover 283 miles when did 48 miles as only drove to warton twice. Starting to make me wonder now and going to seek legal advice.I have saved this invoice as think I’m being scammed. AVOID THIS BRANCH AT ALL COST!!!!!

I recently rented a van off these and after returning have asked me to pay for a chip in the windscreen that I didn’t do. Took my £200 deposit and said wanted another £300 to cover cost. It was a tiny chip that was already there as only drove 48 miles. Had nothing but hassle from start to finish with them. Got there and was told van I ordered had a nail in tyre so someone had gone to get me a different one. Then when finally came (1 hr later than I booked it) wasn’t the van I ordered but I took it anyway only to be taken by a mug. Manager speaks to you and his staff like they are dumb and kids. Used Rotherham branch for over 10 yrs but this branch has now made them lose my custom. If I was you go to a different branch or company all together than use these.

My son in law has just turned up from dropping the hire van off. which was brought from Thornton because the one they’d booked was broken. They checked the outside of the van with Paul but not inside. They took no pictures after the journey from Thornton to Blackpool. Upon returning they said there’s a small chip in corner of windscreen. They hadn’t noticed it and certainly did not hear anything hit the van. Whilst waiting they noticed most of the staff were making claims on the phone. They accused my son in law of causing the chip. He said did you take pictures of the windscreen after the young lad dropped it off from Thornton. His reply was we would have done. I’ve asked for the regional manager and the photos as this family are now £200 down which has left them with no funds. They weren’t informed of a waiver to avoid this happening either. They said it was a new member of staff who would receive more tracing. None of this helps this family put food on the table.
