  While the staff at Bamber Bridge are excellent, the site is simply not fit for purpose. Had to wait 40 minutes before they could get to the vehicle I was hiring because it was so full. They had more vehicles than they had space for.

  Hired a long wheelbase van last week and this was to go to Sheffield from Bamber Bridge. My time was limited and I didn’t have a lot of time to get there load up and get back. When I got into the van, it literally had just a quarter of a tank so I had to make a stop at the fuel station first. After this I was driving the van trying to get into third gear but unfortunately would not go into third gear it kept popping out of gear no matter how much I tried. I immediately got my passenger to Ring enterprise Rent-A-Car to inform them that the gearbox was shot and I had not done it. They asked if I wanted a replacement, but I had not got time to go back to Bamber Bridge and wait for a van the van that I originally wanted and which I was shown they had hired out. After taking A ride through Buxton and having to scream the knackers off this van in order to get up the hill from 2nd to 4th was extremely difficult without a third gear. When I got back to the Enterprise depot Iimmediately told them about the issue I was offered no form of compensation whatsoever nor did they seem really bother bothered about the van. I informed them that this was dangerous to drive and also not to rent it out. Overall quite abad experience really and my deposit is still pending after four days.

  So issue resolved, manager at the Bamber bridge site sorted out my issue and all is clear. So up 4 stars from 2. 👍 So easy to book online, however hit issues from the moment my book in time started as 12 noon, the Van needed 2 new tyres so my van was delayed by 3 hours and 23 minutes. Got collected by Mitch (5 Stars for Mitch, great service). However got the Van from there no further issues moving house on a Friday was mental to then get a phone call asking what time I can drop the van back off as my booking stated 12 noon the Saturday so 2 days. Was told a refund would be issued of £50 to cover the delay and issues which never arrived, have messaged enterprise and was told the store manager would be in touch but guess what no communication, easy enough to take your money and be done with you but won’t deal with you afterwards and that my friends is how you lose customers for future opportunities.
