  My overall experience was disappointing, primarily due to the customer service I received. When I arrived, I was trying to find the toilets as there was no clear signage. While I was looking, a member of staff shouted at me from across the room, which I found unprofessional and discourteous. It did not create a welcoming first impression. The same member of staff later completed the vehicle handover efficiently. However, when I asked how to use the cruise control, I was simply told, "It's on the steering wheel." This response was unhelpful and did not provide the guidance I was looking for. The van itself (a Maxus) performed reasonably well overall, but there were several issues. It had a very poor turning circle, the AdBlue warning repeatedly appeared despite there being over 300 miles of range remaining, and fuel economy dropped dramatically when approaching 70 mph compared with other vans I have driven. In addition, the windscreen required considerable cleaning and could have been cleaned before the vehicle was rented out. While the vehicle itself was acceptable overall, the standard of customer service and the condition in which the vehicle was presented have made me reconsider using this branch, or Enterprise, again in the future.

  The staff at the Dover branch are absolutely amazing. After breaking down on my way to the Eurotunnel in Calais, being put up in a hotel, and missing a ferry in France due to another car hire company, I ended up on a later ferry that arrived in Dover right as the branch was closing. ​Instead of locking up, they stayed back and got my family and me into a car so we could finally drive home to Scotland. Had they not waited, we would have been stranded in yet another hotel. That one act of kindness and genuine customer service saved us a massive amount of hassle. ​If I could give 1000 stars to the Dover branch, I would. WELL DONE AND THANK YOU!

  We rented a car in Dover for a road trip to Scotland and it went extremely well. Pick up and drop off were really smooth, instructions were clear and we were able to call them to informe them of a later arrival to return the car as we were stuck in a traffic jam. Fortunately we arrived before 6 pm but the person on the phone was really reassuring otherwise. On top of that they are really close to the ferry terminal and you can walk from one to another easily. Obviously the car itself was great too.

  I don’t normally write bad reviews for anyone, however my experience was unbelievably bad with enterprise at every step I’ve used Enterprise before and have been good in the past, however this time my insurance company put me through enterprise while my van was being repaired. It was booked in with enterprise for a couple Of weeks previous, I arrived at Enterprise Dover and they had an Electric Van for me which was fine but when I got in it there was 10miles left. So I was told to go for a coffee and charge it, I had to go to work. Then I ended up with a small van and was told to return that evening to swop over to a bigger one, I arrived and they didn’t know I was going to change over and there wasn’t a van for me I was told to wait as one may turn up I waited an hour and left. I went back the following morning as told to and same happened. I pressured the worker and he gave me a bigger van. Then I was told the next day to return as they forgot to get me to sign the paperwork. I then had the van for a week and was told after that there was a claim against me for damaging the van which I know 100% the dents were already on the van when I picked it up but they didn’t do a walk round before I drove off in it, I was also told the drivers door was hanging off I think I would have noticed that one. I argued it and 10 minutes later was told the claim had been dropped but I’m still getting emails saying that it’s on going. I left my door key accidentally on the hire van keys which I called the next working day to be told oh we normally throw them in the bin. It’s a shame as my previous experiences have been good, but the staff definitely need some training on customer service. 1 positive was the young guy who maintains the vehicles was great
