  Absolutely unacceptable experience at this petrol station today at 10/02/ 11:45 I stopped to refuel while holding my phone in one hand to scan my Tesco Clubcard and my debit card in the other. After inserting my card, the pump was suddenly blocked by the operator inside — without any explanation. I tried again, started fueling, and at £5 it asked if I wanted a receipt. As I reached to press YES, the pump was blocked AGAIN. The operator spoke over the speaker system, but it was completely unintelligible. After being allowed to continue, I nearly filled my tank — only for the pump to be blocked yet again at £43. I went inside calmly to ask whether my payment had gone through, and instead of help, I was aggressively spoken to and scolded for having my phone in my hand — even though I was clearly using it to scan my Tesco Clubcard, and Apple Pay is literally offered at the pumps! Then I was accused of having my engine running. My car is a hybrid with start-stop — the engine switches off when stationary. I only turned the car fully off because I went inside and needed to lock it. The staff member was extremely rude and unprofessional, and I honestly felt discriminated against because I’m not English. This is not how customers should ever be treated. Management seriously needs to look into this.
