Great experience hiring from Enterprise. Hired a van overnight to move some bulky items and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Patrick greeted me on arrival, talked me through the van use and fair damage policies and offered me the fuel service add-on which I opted to take. Van was good and performed perfectly for the 250 mile roundtrip. Dropped it off at 8am and Patrick was there waiting to check it back in. Great service and great value!

Nice team in-store, but unfortunately I received subpar customer service at their Stevenage location. I was advised I would be entitled to a partial refund as the car they had given me strongly smelt of smoke, yet all follow-up calls and emails have been completely ignored. Have used Enterprise many times and have always been satisfied with the experience, however it would appear if there is anything you need from them post-hire, you will struggle to get it.

Booked online, they make you pay online first before revealing that a credit card is required online for a large deposit, and then after having to cancel the booking because of this they take almost half of the original payment for the “cancellation fee”. Ive always heard bad things about these guys and should have listened to the horror stories

Please be aware of this company's practices. They fiddled me out of £163 for tyre damage that I definitely did NOT cause. I hired a car in May from their Stevenage Branch. I went into the office and completed the admin including initialling their Ts&Cs. At this point I hadn't seen the car, nor had I been shown the current, or any, damage report. Josh then told me to wait outside and he would drive the car around to the front. He parked it on their busy drive and handed the keys over to me. I tried to get him to walk round the car with me but he was 'so busy' he had to rush back in the office. The car was blocking others' path, so I got in the car and drove off. I drove home, parked the car on my drive and 4 days later returned it. As agreed with them, to a local garage. I DEFINITELY DID NOT CAUSE ANY DAMAGE. The garage received the car and keys and I told them I had parked in the disabled bay as everywhere else was full. The man at the garage said he would move it straight away. There was no inspection of the car in my presence and if one was done, it would have been after the garage had moved it. I asked them about the lack of inspection, but they told me not to worry, all is in order and there would be no problem. At this point, of course, I simply went home thinking of anything but the car hire. Eight weeks later I received a 12 page letter from Enterprise telling me I owe them £163 with all sorts of legal threats. This was the first time I had heard of it. Why didn't they ring me up immediately? This should have been advised at the time with me, before the car was used again. After a week of calling them 7 times, trying to speak to a manager, I finally spoke to Emily, who said she would investigate with Josh and the garage and get back to me. Despite me emailing this and calling a further 4 times, she did NOT respond. I spoke to Josh (not a manager) and he couldn't remember whether he did the inspection with me. HE DID NOT. Sandra at their Damage Recovery Unit was completely dismissive and focussed ONLY on the T&C that states it is the customers responsibility to check the car! Completely ignoring the other Ts&Cs that say "A member of staff will walk round the car with the customer to inspect damage at the beginning and the end etc" There was no diagram of existing damage shown to me, let alone me signing it. This company will make you feel guilty even though you know are 100% innocent. I probably can't fully prove it of course, and they will deny it, of course, but their practices and tactics, of non checking, dubious ts&cs, some of which they ignore anyway for their convenience, and a complete avoidance of customer phone calls and emails, would lead any logical thinking person to conclude that this company is purposely out to dwindle customers out of money, they should not be owing. The whole process was incredibly stressful, and I eventually paid up regrettably, just to try and ease the stress/pain. A disgraceful company with reprehensible practice and manner.

Firstly, the vehicle given to us was illegal to use on the road. The road Wheel was Very significantly deformed, the same wheel (front N/S) had illegally (missing) tread on both the inner and outer surfaces around the Whole circumstance. I obviously refused to drive it, however, the main point to take away is that even a casual walk round would have picked up these points. I believe that this needs to be brought up with the operators licencing authority. Additionally, this particular outlet has a very well know problem with traffic enforcement officers, who literally Hide and POUNCE on ANY vehicle which stops outside. When I attempted to ask for advice from an enforcement officer they refused to speak whilst they were giving tickets to (other vehicles) and waved at me to wait (which i did) and then they (essentially) ran away refusing to talk to me at all. My only remark was....Excuse me. So, DON'T leave ANY vehicle (including rented ones) parked outside unattended.
