  Charged me an extra full day for arriving 20 minutes past return time. Even though I called their customer service and told them. The customer service member on the phone said they made a note and it should be okay. Shady practice on how they handled the return. I'd advice trying a different rental service all together.

  We hired a car for 1 week hire and used it for only 3 days and had to return it early as our plans had changed , they would not refund us our reaming 4 days money as it was down to admin. This country is full of companies like this just wanting to rip off the general public any which we it can . This is a disgraceful company .

  Ordered a one way hire from Inverness to Edinburgh. We had to wait 1.5hrs in the cold as our car was not ready. When it was finally ready, it was not the car we ordered. The staff didn't advise us of this and gave no explanation when I questioned it. We ordered 3 child seats which barely fit in the substitute car and our luggage also was a struggle. Staff were very off hand. The car was not fully fuelled, had a tyre pressure sensor issue and a low battery warning for the key fob. Car was clean and modern however. Drop off at Edinburgh airport was in stark contrast. We were greeted by Liam who was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would avoid alemo/Europcar and go with a different company if I were you

  I'm very shocked at the low rating on Google. My experience was nothing short of phenomenal. We arrived late (10 pm-ish) the first night, and the staff was still wide awake & very happy to assist. The car we got was a Hyundai Ioniq, which was better than the Toyota Yaris that we expected, and much better suited for our long road trip. The person helping us made sure we had everything we needed. Even drop off was very easy, and shuttling to/fro the airport was very pleasant. Shuttles regularly to the Marriott, which is adjacent to the airport, and you can even call to arrange pick up. This was one of the most hospitable experiences we've had with a car rental agency, and I'm very happy with the service!
