  Staff where very friendly and helpful and was back on the road in no time very smooth transition into a hire vehicle if I was in the area any time in the future and have any problems with my car I would use again highly recommend

  BANGOR LL57 Branch On returning the vehicle (FE24YHO), I discussed my dissatisfaction and concerns with both the Assistant Branch Manager. A few days later, the Branch Manager called me to discuss my dissatisfaction and concerns. The vehicle had an existing/standing fault/alarm (Break pad wear. Service Now) which was not pointed out to me at the time of hire. Should the vehicle even have been released for hire? There was no attempt or interest in explaining the features of the vehicle, such as security, tail lift operation or location of isolator. The vehicle was peppered with damage, scrapes and scratches, which I required the branch staff to recognise and note, before I accepted the vehicle. I was not provided with a copy of this damage, so took a screenshot of the branch iPad (used to confirm the hire with my signatures) to illustrate the extent of the pre-existing damage. On return of hire, I instructed the Assistant Branch Manager to accompany me to complete a thorough walk-around of the vehicle, then show me in branch that there was no additional damage to that already/previously listed on the system. After a few minutes, it was clear that the records held on the system were not up to date, as previously repaired damage was still showing as breakages.... I left the Bangor branch still feeling concerned and seriously unimpressed with the vehicle records keeping. I paid a fair and competitive price to hire the vehicle, as I have a Defence Discount. The vehicle was perfectly adequate for my needs, assisting with a home move. Prior to return, I cleaned the van and swept it out before returning it with the correct amount of fuel, same as hired. My £200 deposit has been returned to my account. I do hope that this feedback can inform training of staff to better understand what is important to customers, as genuine and well-intended assistance does contribute to genuine customer satisfaction and repeat business. Following our telephone call, the Branch Manager promised me a refund, and to date, I have not received that. *** CORRECTION - I have now received a 50% refund. Credit where it is due to the branch Manager. ***
