  They send you a message to avoid queues but then you arrive at the office and there are three counters but only one guy working. So you got to spend 20min waiting for nothing…. Then, when we finally reached the desk, our car wasn’t ready and we had to wait for another additional 20min. Great job!

  Loved their customer service. Antonio was amazing. He literally couldn’t be more helpful. A bit pricier than others but they don’t have the hidden costs that other car hire companies have. If it was a trade off I’d got SIXT all the way.

  Zero integrity at SIXT Glasgow City Centre. My partner and I arrived at 8AM for the scheduled pickup, but only left an hour later with a filthy car of a lower price tier than what we paid for. SIXT was completely unprepared to honor the contract, and ruined our entire roadtrip schedule. We fully prepaid for a Full-Size Elite (BMW 3 Series class) but were handed a Cupra Formentor. The staff falsely claimed it was the same price tier — SIXT later admitted in writing it was a downgrade. Misleading a customer to their face is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the vehicle was handed over completely filthy, inside and out (photos/videos attached). When we raised this, they noted the only option is for us to take the car to a car wash ourselves or wait an hour for their staff to clean the car, which was outrageous. Antonio, the counter staff, offered to quickly wipe the exterior which we appreciated, but it was still filthy. Eventually, his colleague promised a discount if we took the dirty car. We held up our end of the deal and brought the car to the wash, but SIXT did not. To date, that promised discount for the filthy car has never been honored. The help center’s service afterwards was just as dismissive. While they provided a refund for the difference in price tier of the car, their only attempt at resolution for the filth and delay was a $100 SIXT voucher with a 1-year expiry. Even after we explicitly explained that we will not be traveling or renting a car within the next year, they refused a proper resolution or promised “discount”, rendering their "compensation" entirely worthless. We have been repeat SIXT customers, but this experience demonstrated a complete lack of accountability, false promises and blatant disrespect towards their customers. Avoid this branch (and potentially SIXT) at all costs.

  Wie immer mit Sixt einfach eine richtig tolle Erfahrung! Dominik hat uns sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit empfangen und war sogar während der Reise für uns erreichbar! Wir mussten leider aus organisatorischen Gründen ein Auto mit Gangschaltung reservieren, obwohl wir wegen des Linksverkehrs lieber ein Automatikauto gehabt hätten. Wir haben uns schon damit abgefunden uns in die neuen Fahrweise einfinden zu müssen, bis Dominik uns gerettet hat. Wie aus dem Nichts organisierte er uns tatsächlich ein Automatikauto und präsentierte diese Überraschung wie ein richtiger Showman (Richtig witzig! 😂😊)! Auf jeden Fall bleibt uns nichts anderes übrig als danke zu sagen! Danke an Dominik für eine weitere wundervolle Mietautoerfahrung!!!

  This was the first time I had used SIXT, and I'm afraid to say it will be the last. Normally I use Enterprise, but went with SIXT on a whim and am regretting it. The hire was relatively expensive , but I accepted that on the basis we were renting a car for just a weekend. The premium price did not transfer to a premium experience. There was only a single staff member in the office who was rushed and did not do a joint handover leaving us to find us to find and inspect the car by ourselves. The car itself was grubby and was reporting faults with its passenger protection system. Returning the car out of hours is not straightforward, you have it leave it on the second floor. However the key return box is on the ground floor round the back of the garage level. Finally I now have SIXT trying to make me liable for damage which was already listed on the car when we picked it up. Needless to say, won't be using them in future.
