If I could give no stars I would. I was on subscription with Sixt and paid over £920 every month for an electric ix1, I had to return the car 3 months in as they said it was end of term, which then they gave me a diesel Volvo xc60 what was all they had. So then they started charging me £1179 which was ok and I liked the car anyway, then which I also had to return, then they gave me a eqa Mercedes which was the cheaper bracket but I was still getting charged £1179 instead of £919, which I continued to do but then the car wouldn’t charge so they gave me an x3 bmw which I liked but 7 weeks ago I noticed they had charged me £260 and an additional £19.99 which was paid, I sent them evidence that this was paid but the just ignored my bank statement and then blocked my account, so I couldn’t pay for the car I had, I offered to come in and pay it cash, bank transfer or whatever I had to do, but they kept insisting I pay this £279 again before I could renew my subscription, this went on for 4 weeks so I had a car I couldn’t pay for then they threatened me with repossession and then I would owe repossession charges, I chased them every day to try and pay my £1179 which they eventually just ignored so I had no option but return the car, they then sent me a charge for a damaged wheel but luckily I took photos of all the wheels in there garage when I dropped it off so I had proof it was fine when I left it, I am disgusted by how they deal with customers, especially one who has given them well over £10000 over the last year, so now I’m left without a car, absolutely no communication and on top of all that they have taken about £1670 from my account 10 days after the car was returned and my cars was blocked so they use a back door to access your account without your consent and my bank have confirmed this and have opened a case against them, to add insult to injury, they still have my £500 deposit you need to pay upfront. Disgusting disgusting disgusting service, my account manager was Valerio who was less than absolutely useless. Branch manager was Stephanie, I run my own company and how these 2 are in managerial positions absolutely baffles me. I am gutted I can’t give 0 stars as this is a big company run by incompetent scammers

Stuart and Stephanie went above and beyond to get us sorted and on our way after we made an error in our booking. They had a car for us, adjusted the dates, and had us on our way. Stuart gave great advice regarding our planned itinerary, and we look forward to following his suggestions! We recommend Sixt Glasgow Central whole heartedly!

Had a confirmed booking at this Sixt branch, turned up, and were told there was simply no car available - and to "make other arrangements." No apology, no help finding a vehicle at another branch, nothing. We had to fork out for a taxi to the airport and pay more for a car than we'd already booked here. To top it off, the staff member was outright rude. A confirmed booking apparently means nothing to Sixt, and neither does basic customer service. Avoid.

Excellent service from start to finish. I actually returned to SIXT because of Lara, who has been consistently friendly, professional and incredibly helpful every time I've dealt with her.
I didn't even bother looking at other rental companies this time—I went straight back to SIXT because the service is always straightforward and hassle-free. Lara goes above and beyond to help wherever she can, and nothing ever feels like too much trouble.
She is a real asset to the Glasgow City Centre branch and one of the main reasons I continue to choose SIXT. Highly recommended.

Arrived for our rental that was reserved 6 months earlier. Told they didn’t have our class of car. Charged £78 / day more for a car that would work.
Wrote a 1-star review. Got an email from Stephanie offering a refund. Took the refund. Thank you for the help Stephanie.
The staff at Sixt are incentivized to do this they of thing. They make a percentage of the extra costs they force you into. Sixt know this hurts their customers but still continue the practice.
I won’t continue to rent from Sixt. Ever.
Our return in Inverness was decent (see that review for good comments and rating about the staff there). But it was a return, not a pick up, so I can’t say if I would encounter the same practices there.
