  Just had a great experience hiring a minibus from Enterprise. Charming staff at both Glasgow where we collected it, and at Newark where we dropped it off. The vehicle was full of fuel and very clean and tidy.

  Waited until the ongoing complaint raised on this was resolved before leaving an honest but scathing review. I booked a day-rental at this location for a 9am pick-up. Upon arriving, they were short-staffed and I was told the vehicle wouldn't be available for collection for another hour (didn't get to collect until nearly 10:30am). As frustrating as it was, I appreciate that staff shortages and unexpected issues like this can occur but it all went further downhill from here. I went down to collect the vehicle, turned it on and it had a warning on the dashboard to say the tyre pressure was low on the front passenger side of the vehicle. I spoke with the assistant manager and another man when I noticed this, both of them immediately dismissed this as a 'standard' issue and that it would go away once driven as they had just inspected the vehicle. I foolishly took their word for it. The warning never disappeared but I was now a two hour drive away so I inspected the tyre, cleared the dashboard warning temporarily and filled it up as the pressure was still low despite being told it was filled minutes before me collecting. When I returned to drop off the car, I met with the same assistant manager I had highlighted the issue to the day before and told her of the issue. She said the tyre pressure and issue was a result of damage I had caused to it and they would be charging the full £1,000 excess! upon protest and reminder of the issue, she then said that they would only charge the tyre-replacement cost and asked me to sign to take responsibility for an issue I had flagged to two members of staff to which I declined. I raised the issue with customer service, detailing and outlining my experience. I received a call from the branch manager next day who apologised profusely for the experience, offering a full refund of the damage charges and a discount next time I used them. Following this phone call, I was charged a further £300 on top of the £200 they had taken for the 'damage' with no explanation. I reached back out to the branch manager who went back on her apology and denied everything, bluntly stating "the damage team have decided this is acceptable take it up with them". Luckily, I had recorded the phone call which I'd urge anybody else foolish enough to deal with this branch to do. They investigated into it and refunded the full £500 after a full 8 months of back and forth on the matter once I submitted further evidence to the matter at hand. I use rental cars on a near-weekly basis due to my profession and I've moved so far away from Enterprise and encourage all my friends and family to never use them and encourage them to use Hertz at any opportunity I get. Dishonest and incompetent staff, unapologetic and manipulative to no bounds from low level right up to management and I can see from other reviews I'm far from the first they've tried this with. A crying shame that has ultimately cost the company an incredible amount of repeat business due to pure trickery. If you need a rental car, look elsewhere! save yourself months of headache. And document everything! record record record and take a photo of every single inch of the vehicle and issue flagged to these crooks!

  Worst experience with employees. Trying to hire a car and finding excuses not giving. Judging people for not knowing very well English Never again there.

  Had an issue with charges on my rental that needed to be addressed after the fact. Alexis and Ella at Glasgow Central handled it professionally and resolved the matter quickly and fairly. Credit to them for taking the feedback seriously and making it right. Would absolutely rent here again.

  As with any rental car agency, there’s always a chance something unexpected can happen and affect your trip. In our case, we ended up with a flat tire in the middle of nowhere and unfortunately didn’t have a patch kit or spare tire available, which definitely put a damper on things. That said, special thanks to Alexis Clark from Enterprise for helping us sort everything out afterward. We appreciate her support and customer service during a stressful situation.
