Abysmal service from this place. Dropped my car off for a diagnostic to check for a fault in the drivers airbag. The next day I phone for an update and am quoted for a quick sensor replacement and told I can pick up later in the day. Great. I phoned back later just to check it was ready, and now it was a completely different problem. Then it wasn’t – there were two people with the same name. Then, no, it WAS just me, and there were now two different issues. The part would either come the next day; failing that the Monday (3 days later). That’s fine, do what you need to do, I say. They said they’d be in touch, though (they weren’t). I give them till the Tuesday to phone back (no point harassing them if the part isn’t there, right?). On Tuesday I’m told the part arrived, but it was the wrong part. They’d need to wait till the right one arrived and there wasn’t anything they could do to the car until then (annoying, but fair enough). The next day -1 full week and a day after dropping off my car, and it’s subsequent diagnostic, I walk past the garage to see my car sitting in their carpark with the hazard lights flashing, windows down and the heating blasting. I figure they’re doing some type of diagnostic again and carry on into town. A couple of hours later (hoping my car is now fixed) I walk past and find my car in the exact same state. I go into the reception to be told that the boss had left me a voicemail (he hadn't) and that the guys still cant do any work on the car until this mysterious part arrives. Obviously, I ask what it is they’re currently doing to the car, and no-one can answer me. Literally one guy just looks at the ground. I sense something is properly wrong here, so I just want to get my car out of there. I ask if I can take the car with me and they can just phone me when the part comes in and come back (now, obviously I’m not taking it back after all this, but it’s still what we agreed and I really wanted to speak to the boss about this). A phone call is made and that's fine. I go to my car and the battery is obviously dead (because everything has been running for hours and hours – for seemingly no reason whatsoever). I had to get the car jumped (twice) in order to leave (£50 for the diagnostic before I left). Despite a 10 mile drive, the battery was damaged beyond repair, so I had to get this replaced at another garage. Obviously the call to say the part had arrived never came. I don’t think it ever existed. I have no idea what the intention was here? Just give me somewhere to park my car until I got bored of waiting?? Car ended up getting fixed, with a different part, that came overnight, for ¼ of the price quoted. People trust you with their cars. I came in with no attitude. I left with my car damaged. It’s disgusting how you treated me. At best, you’re rude and incompetent (that’s assuming you didn’t purposely break my battery...for fun? Like, what WAS the endgame here? Is it really worth screwing up the battery of a cheap old car for, what? £100? More likely? You’re just conmen. I’ve never once felt the need to post a negative review of anywhere before. Having worked within the service industry for most of my adult life, I understand how damaging, and usually wrongly one-sided, a bad review can be to a business, but the treatment I received at Best Fit was absolutely appalling. I’d have loved to just discuss this with the boss, but he wouldn’t ever return my calls (no email address I could find either). I had to check three times with the woman in the office (who to be fair, was at least polite, if unhelpful in getting me any answers) that you had my number written down correctly – you did. Stay away from this place.

I went to the garage bc of check engine light, and they said car was ready and charged me £49 for only diagnostics, but they didn't know what was wrong with it and couldn't figure it out and still demanded I pay £49. They said I would owe 1000 pounds for a job that I ended up getting fixed for 150 somewhere else. Do not go here, it was an extremely negative experience.
