I generally go to Black Circles for tyres as I have done for many years. Just before I booked, I thought I would check the price of Drive In. They were quite similar so I thought I would give the business to a local company and book straight through them. BIG mistake! With black circles you get a time slot and it's usually great. I called the garage to let them know what time I will be down. Over 2 hours later wandering the streets, they took my car in for one tyre. You would think they might give priority to customers booking direct but it's the exact opposite. I will never be back.

Took my VW in for a brake service. They were quick and reasonable. A week later I had an engine management light on, and took it back. They advised the EGR valve needed cleaned, so they added a cleaner to the tank and said take it for a good drive. Took it for a drive and the vehicle died and I had to have it recovered to the shop. It cost alot to recover it. It then sat for 7 days while I waited for them to tell me the EGR valve was stuck open. They suggested I do an EGR valve delete and charged me even more to perform the delete. That took another 3 days before it was running again. All this time I recieved zero phone calls, and I dropped by each day to check on it, to be told it would be ready the next day. Finally got the car back and 2 days later, it doesnt want to start and is throwing engine codes again. This time its sensor faults. So I bring the car back, only to be told at the end of the day, they have no idea whats wrong with it, and they cant fix it, but I should take it to a VW specialist! Now, they did the work that caused the EGR valve to stick open, they did the EGR delete, which has clearly created the new engine management issues, and have washed their hands of it, insteaded sending me away with a vehicle which isnt repaired. Poor poor communication, incompetent at performing vehicle repair. They should stick to tires, brakes and suspension work only.
