I've used this garage for many years, for many vehicles for mot's, repairs and servicing... They're one of the few garages that I'd trust to get the job done properly, and at a fair price. The guys have always been friendly, professional and straightforward. I must admit, I was surprised to read a negative review that they recently received, obviously I don't know what that gentleman's experience was like, however reading the other reviews he's left, it would appear its a regular occurrence wherever he goes.

This is supposed to be a friendly staffed garage, reviews say they helped people out in an emergency! Well they aren't friendly now and they don't help in an emergency anymore, that's because when people flock to them after reading all those five star reviews and they're busy then, all of that other service is just thrown away. There is a manager there, a thin tall mature chap and he was away recently at an American Trans-Am race track event, and then there's this tall young guy holding the fort, promising to help out but later ... he got cold feet and didn't want to help at all. When the manager came back he glares at me, pulls menacing stares when I arrive and looks away to his left, to my right, he's working on cars but he's a nasty bully and he stops what he is doing, shrugs to himself and comes into the reception space talking in a high pitched voice whilst bending down, asking if he can help whilst rolling his eyes up at the ceiling, that is the 'five star service' now, maybe not months ago. They're running a week ahead, no emergency slots, no contingency planning, just by the book of appointments. So Trans-Am fans are really interested in race cars and this manager, doesn't seem like the usual fan because he's not loyal to a new customer like me and disinterested in my car, he sees me as annoying but I've booked a slot and when I went in to update them at 8.30 am, before the actual day, the manager made a facial expression that I looked up on the internet, and it's a frown, mouth down at the corners and eyes narrowed in disgust like he just felt a really bad smell, then he didn't say Good Morning, he didn't smile or say Hello, but looked at this tall young mechanic who'd held the fort and he jerked his head back in my direction as if to delegate the task or we say he's 'passing the buck', onto this junior mechanic, and in that behavior that manager is being a bully, that is not five star service let me tell you, and it gets worse. The young mechanic was decent when this bullying manager was away, but now he's angry and filled up with only his own needs, his self-centered thinking tumbles out of his mouth, and the supposed 'five star service' is all forgotten, he's full of himself. He asked me "why don't you do the job yourself?" That is a massive red flag. He continues that they'll look at the car at the week ahead afternoon slot, but adds angrily that they won't work on it then, wow that's my emergency booking down the drain. So be aware that garage is busy and their words and actions don't agree. Then he told me that nobody would work on a car, that old! That's your five star reviews talking, that's why you shouldn't give five star reviews unless the service given is really five star. I'd offer they're highly unprofessional, and there's a complete breakdown of customer service. They're defensive and a toxic workplace with low emotional intelligence. This is a badly managed business because when a frontline employee is comfortable being rude to a customer it means the Garage leadership do not enforce standards of respect or accountability. They're treating your valid request as an annoyance or challenge to their authority, the manager has taught the youngster to handle pressure with hostility and pushback. Furthermore I agreed to send this tall young mechanic an e-mail of a video and he'd never even replied to it, that isn't 'five star service'. The more you help them out there the less respect they'll give back.
