  Avoid After having a hire car for two weeks from Enterprise not through choice they charged me for alleged damage and took £500 from my account without authorisation despite having a damage waiver in place. Logan was specifically asked not to take any money from my account due to the waiver. I had written confirmation from the the third part hire company who had arranged the car hire that they would never give authority for enterprise to take money. This is not what Logan told me so I believe Enterprise were not being truthful in their actions. Formal complaint now raised and I have now two weeks later received a refund. I would not recommend or use them again.

  I hate to write bad reviews, and I want to make clear that this review is not about the people working at Enterprise Dunfermline, who have always been friendly and helpful. However, I need to flag serious issues with the company’s booking system. On multiple occasions I’ve made bookings for specific vans because I have urgently needed them at short notice. The website shows them as available and cheerfully takes my money. But then - more times than not - I get a call (on the day I was hoping to pick up the van) from a very apologetic person at Enterprise saying they don’t have the van I booked. I mean… this is literally your job as a company: to let people know what vehicles you have available so that they can hire them. If you don’t have them available, please JUST SAY, so I can look elsewhere. Don’t lead me on and let me down at the last minute. The even more ridiculous thing is that the staff member will kindly offer to “call around other branches” to see if they can find another van. I mean, what?! Is this 1987? Even within their *own company*, they need to make a phone call to find out whether they have a vehicle available?! It’s insane. Either the management are deeply incompetent or they are purposefully trying to take our money in the knowledge that they don’t have what they are selling us so they can try to switch-sell us to something else (which in the case of vans is rarely going to work). Neither of these is a good look. Please improve.

  Kept deposit for old scuff on tyre that was clearly not me and also did not need replacing,very disappointed by this and taking further.I got told car was already at garage later on after dropping car off getting fixed at national tyres so I phoned national and they told me car wasn’t there and was not booked in!! I also asked for the tyre as proof and was told they couldn’t do this even though they said it was not fit for road.

  Absolute con and rip-off. Be warned if you complete all online checks and even if they state all you need to do is pick up car, they can reject you and leave you stranded at point of rental with little sympathy they've falsely represented you've passed checks and left you stranded 500 miles away. Gibbs is a much better local alternative, cheaper, more polite, and don't have hidden checks. There really is no reason to use Enterprise, be warned!
