    I booked the car via Carrental UK which I have found out that had false advertised the rental as premium one which you do not have to pay a deposit as I choose the premium option which I payed more. I ended up paying extra £60.00 for something which I already payed also had to pay a deposit of £150.00 which Green Motion it not very keen on refunding it back with in 48 hours upon return which was with no issues. Also on the top of that I was harassed to return the car 1 hour earlier as their staff would like to go home earlier, it not acceptable so no DO NOT FALL WITH THEIR FALSE CLAIMS.

    Ich habe bereits zum zweiten Mal mein Auto bei Green Motion Stanstead gemietet und werde das auf jeden Fall weiterhin tun! Das ganze Team ist : * sehr freundlich * hilfsbereit * kompetent * menschlich und fair Auch noch bei 38°C in unklimatisierten Containern, was die Station bei Novotel ist! Dieses Mal hatte mir Mohammed sehr weiter geholfen, weil ich zur Zeit nur eine Visa Debit Karte besitze und die Deposit eine Master- oder Visa- Kreditkarte erfordert. Dazu hatte ich mich im Vorfeld schon informiert und wußte das dies problematisch werden kann. Mohammed und sein Boss fanden eine Lösung für mich mit der ich sehr glücklich war, ohne zusätzliche Kosten. Er erklärte mir auch warum die Debit Karte für sie als Vermieter ein viel höheres Risiko ist. Was ich hier in den Bewertungen als Kritik lese zu den Versicherungen, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen! Während der Buchung kann ich sehen, oder recherchieren wieviel Abdeckung & Versicherungsschutz in dem Angebot enthalten sind und ggf. vor Abschluss aufstocken. Das braucht etwas mehr Zeit & Aufmerksamkeit, bewahrt aber vor den Mehrkosten & Ärger am Anmietetag ! Ich danke dem Team herzlich und würde mich sehr freuen, wenn Green Motion ihnen zumindest ein SEHR GUTES KLIMAANLAGEN/ HEIZGERÄT einbaut 💙 Denn ich kann mir vorstellen, dass es nicht nur im Sommer viel zu heiß, sondern auch im Winter viel zu kalt in den Containern ist. Und diese wundervollen Menschen haben besseres verdient !!!

    Having read the bad feedback I was quite vary. I rented through a third party contract and also added a third party insurance policy to cover the horrendous excess fees from the green motion contract. Rental price was cheap and we probably received a brand new car well over that value (brand new jeep with thousands of features). The rental guy wanted me to sign the contract before checking the car, which I obviously didn't do, but documented everything outside and checked the full car first, which took quite a while. He also wanted to sell a higher insurance with lower excess, road safety package and put a block on the card for the petrol on top of the block for the excess. Which I denied and since I insisted on seeing the car before signing anything he let me do this and then was busy with a new customer and his colleague assisted . The described previous damages matched the car, it was just slightly dirty inside from some sunscreen and floor dirt, which I all documented and wasn't a problem. The car was obviously very new and in splendid condition. When driving around all went smoothly. When returning the car way earlier outside of the arranged time, there surprisingly was somebody at the office at night and he took the car back immediately and easily. I'd recommend to thoroughly document anything, arrange for a full coverage on top of insurance by a third party and figure out which insurance you really need beforehand, double check anything for mistakes and then drive safely because the roads in GB are full of potholes, exploded tires, animals and debris...

    I´m a "frequent" rental car customer (mainly for business). This was my first experience with Green Motion (small holiday, company chosen by my wife). Terrible experience. As soon you sit down they try to sell you upgrades and incredibly expensive (much more than the rental fare) liability reduction or fuel re-fill service. They were very rigid for a problem we got (wrong pin of the credit card to pay the deposit/liability): They cannot accept apple pay. If you use debit card or trasfer the rental contract to wife they ask you money. And, guess what, they were not rigid when I returned the car with more fuel that what I got. They told me "we will check later"... and of course they didn´t give me any money. I see plenty of very bad comments like mine. I will report this to Consumer Association. LMelloni

    I rented a vehicle from Green Motion at the Novotel Stansted location and unfortunately had a very concerning experience. The most serious issue was the vehicle's acceleration response. Throughout the rental, the car repeatedly hesitated when I pressed the accelerator, particularly when entering roundabouts or merging into traffic. On multiple occasions, I identified a safe gap, accelerated, and the vehicle failed to respond as expected. This resulted in several near-miss situations where I was left exposed in active traffic and other drivers had to react unexpectedly. I am an experienced driver and have driven many different vehicles over the years, but I have never experienced such a significant delay in throttle response. The issue occurred repeatedly throughout the trip and was serious enough that I had to alter my driving to compensate for it. I also prepaid for an automatic SUV-class vehicle but was provided with a Kia Picanto, which was substantially smaller than the category I had booked. What was particularly disappointing was Green Motion's response when I reported the issue after returning the vehicle. Rather than showing concern or indicating that the vehicle would be inspected, I was simply told that they "haven't had a problem with that car before." Previous complaints are not the only indicator of a fault, especially when a customer is reporting a potentially serious safety issue. My main concern is the safety of future renters. I hope the vehicle is properly inspected and the matter taken seriously. Between the apparent acceleration problem and receiving a vehicle significantly different from the one reserved, this was a disappointing rental experience.
