    Complete SCAM- Stubborn, I've been here twice and this is the worst customer service I've ever gotten in my life. The vehicle (supposed mini SUV) has an infotec from the 80s and they refused to even give me a lower class vehicle in better conditions because they were in a hurry to close or maybe lazyness. They got me out a deposit of 200£ not documented anywere, even if I got the full cover amd insisted for an invoice. Also tried to charge 100+£ for unclear calculations and had to check 3 times for them to pull down the right cost report. The first time I was here they got 250£ out of my deposit for an invisible point on a tyre promising a refund of the difference that never arrived. Please avoid this scam place at all costs.

    Beware of renting from this company. The start of the rental wasn't auspicious as there were 2 attempts to debit my credit card for the rental fee, luckily my bank only allowed one debit to go through and blocked the other attempt. Due to the repeated debit, the only option my bank gave me to prevent another debit was to cancel the card and they will reissue another to me. Unbeknownst to me at that time, the cancellation resulted in the situation below that gave me further insight into how this company carries out their business. I returned the car in mid june 2023 whereby before that I got into an accident where I brushed against a stationary car which resulted in scratches. The accident was immediately reported and reiterated during the car return (See photo taken during return of the car by National). I hear nothing from National for ~10 months until I suddenly received a letter on 5th April 2024 stating I was late in paying for the repair, coincidentally for the full excess amount 1750GBP, broken down as such: 1359.90 for damages, 78 for admin fee, 312.10 for loss of use. Based on my rental rate, the loss of use is approx 5 days of rental lost due to repair. Incredulous that the first correspondence threw the accusation that I was late in paying up and doubly incredulous that the scratches resulted in such a high amount, I reached out to their Damage Recovery Unit where I was given a report that was unilaterally asserted to have backed up the claims amount. Ironically, said report but did not highlight my scratches but showed many more pictures of damage (some even under the hood, see selection of the photos from the report). I naturally raised concern that these were not caused by me and I shouldn't be liable. The service staff was adamant that the extra damages was included in the report but not charged (go figure!) and gave me a deadline of 14 days to pay up or be subject to debt recovery. Because my card was cancelled, their attempted recovery of the excess failed. If my card was still active, the debit would have happened and I don't think I would have gotten the report which 'justifies the amount'. I leave you to decide whether the charges were warranted and whether you want to engage such a company and subject yourself to such treatment.

    —I rent from National / Enterprise about once a month and am normally a big fan. This office was significantly understaffed on the Sunday that we went to rent a car. One guy was great, working hard and courteous. I got the guy with the wrinkles shirt and the scuffed up shoes.
