  Great experience booking a rental through JCT600 Audi, Enterprise pulled out all the stops and were very accommodating when I needed to hand the car back a couple of hours beyond expiry. Thanks to the team for an easy rental.

  I had a pre paid booking from your Maidstone branch, booked over a month in advance. They called ONLY the day before to say the vehicle was NOT available, he quoted; “we have tried to source a van but can’t’! I asked why this was and he told me that even though I book a van it’s not guaranteed I’ll get one as it’s like a ghost booking and the branch then look closer to that date to see if one is available, I find this appalling and will be seeking advice from my social media influencer for the fire service if this is common practise! Your depot manager stated that it ‘is’ company policy not to call customers until the day before to inform them about this! I explained that the can was for a house move from Kent a to Lincolnshire and he even suggested I used a smaller van and did extra trips! I was totally shocked by his blasé attitude and beyond annoyed of the mangers sarcasm and did lose my temper. The manager asked if I had a problem I could pop in and see him as I had told him he’s lucky I do not drive over to have an argument, this may have been wrong but the anger of such short notice was horrific! What infuriated me was his attitude to tell me to come and have a go! (His actual words!) I got in my car and proceeded to drive to the branch, my daughter could detect my anger from the proposal of a hands on fight offer with the manager and called me in tears to come home. Fortunately I did come to my senses and drive back home! My frustrations were due to the fact it was the Thursday prior to Easter bank holiday I could not get another van anywhere in Kent as I needed it until the following Tuesday! My last resort was to hire from Doncaster and have my father-in-law drive one down! So I called the Enterprise branch who had a van, this did incur additional travel expenses but we had no choice, in truth I did not want to ever use enterprise again but it was the only way to get a van. Upon return of the van there was an additional charge NOT on the original invoice, I questioned this and was told it goes on ALL hire costs! We collected a van that had wrong tyre treasures, one tyre so over inflated it could have caused a very serious incident! As a firefighter I am only to aware of these common dangers from hire companies, which is why I chose Enterprise, it would seem that your safety checks are not about safety at all! After mentioning to the manager that this charge was NOT on the original invoice he said his manager agreed to refund the cost, but it’ll take 10 days to be received. As for the original £599 I paid via my card I have had to activate a fraud process towards Enterprise as the Maidstone brand has failed to refund my card!
